Regardless of which drive your sim is located on, you have to make sure the file named "cfs-2inf.cat" is installed on the root C:\ drive (its just the way the author designed it).

Just copy the file from the main CFS2 folder, go to My Computer > C drive and you'll see all the folders and files on the drive. Right-click on an empty spot there on-screen and select paste. The file will then be in the right place as its programmed to function from.

BTW, this is in the readme instructions...

Hi dandolo,

These look like the results of corrupted campaign files. DCG is looking for an integer value at a certain position in a file, and is finding "ama" or "rel" instead. This can only mean something is missing or out of place in one or more of the campaign files.

Try reloading all the original campaign files.

Every now and then when you generate a new mission DCG throws a fit and misplaces the "base" name and/or an "type_id" which is the type of Aircraft used by a unit. Double check your squadrons.dcg file to make sure all of the data is in its proper place.
