Here are a couple more liveries I did while working on the AMX. They were not included in the package as I didn't feel they would pass the scrutiny of the detail oriented. . .but hopefully they'll motivate our livery artists and others to take an interest in this generous offering.

I'm not asking for myself, as I already have it. i was part of the beta tester team and I would just like for the rest of us to be able to enjoy it...

I agree, maybe Rami is out of town or something. I did have to make some last second changes to the upload as I was told that the Lago name needed to come off, which meant the airfile, mdl files, and aircraft.cfg all had to be amended. That pushed the actual upload time to almost 3:00pm CST yesterday. . .2 hours after I made the initial post, but I still thought it would be available by now. I'm sure Rami's working diligently though, lol

Priller
December 9th, 2019, 09:42
Thanks for the explanation Ed!

But come on: Lago doesn't even exist anymore... And you got the Ok from the original dev.

Also: models from the old (and now defunct) Alphasim, were released with that name and ALPHA_ in the files. Why isn't the same logic being applied here? I don't get it. I really don't.

I PM'd Rami to see if pulling it off to make those changes might have caused it to not show as uploaded again. Hopefully he can clear things up and it can be available soon.

Well, it's not as good looking as a '68 Maserati Ghibli but I bet it's a lot more fun! I like your polka dot camo. Reminds me of the old A-10 J.A.W.S. test scheme except whoever painted it forgot to scale it up from 1/48! It looks like a test of modelers skill! In all seriousness the AMX looks really good Falcon. It will find a home next to my F.91 Gina!

Any thoughts on the AMX? Once you've flown it, why not post your impressions, screenshots, etc. Quite nice. It flies a nice aerobatic routine. The GPS took a minute to figure out but everything else was easy. I like the loadout panel. The AMX doesn't look like it should be able to carry those four fuel tanks! I've only flown it clean, but I want to see what a near max load does to performance. (The gear does squat quite a bit when you hang all four tanks on it!) I'm going to try the sound from Flying Stations Buccaneer though as it also used the RR Spey and it does sound a bit meaner.

FYI:

AER.1F-AMX-1 Flight Manual AMX series Aircraft

External Tanks
The four underwing pylons have provisions to carry external fuel tanks, however only two tanks can installed at a time. . .either on the inboard pair or on the outboard pair.

When either one or two external tanks are fitted to inboard pylons, operation of the transfer and refuel system in the inboard pylons is inhibited and conversely.

Both have a huge member base. I think you'll see a lot more. A fitting tribute to a brilliant model brought back from oblivion.

What you and the team did, the generosity of the original dev, that is simply brilliant. I feel honoured that you let me test it.

Thank you for your reply!
It's a shame all the same because it was a plus!
I would ask, please, for cockpit, old, dirty textures ...
And, why not, the possibility of adding a radar ai, instead of the Radar Warning Receiver (inop)!
In any case thank you for the work done on this plane too little known!:applause:

I can't speak to anything related to gauges as they are 3D and programmed through the xml. If Henk finds those additions necessary it would be up to him to make the changes. As for the weathered and dirty cockpit, I don't have that ability. The current VC textures for the main panel and side consoles were drawn one component at a time using the AMX Flight Manual images as a template then placed in position. I don't have the expertise to turn them into well-worn (old, dirty) panels so someone who has that ability and finds the AMX a suitable project will have to take that on.

Regarding the RWR, if someone is planning on adding Tacpack capability to this airplane, it should be possible to get the RWR on the main panel to work by adding a transparent $ texture just in front of it and placing the TMAP RWR gage on it.

I'm very confident that this should work, as I have been able to do it on a few models that I'm in the process of converting for P3Dv4.5.

Of course, the other thing to go with it would be working ECM gear...... but RWR is better than nothing :)

Ed, just wanted to congratulate you and your team on a job well done. Unlike most addons, this creation can't be flown ham-fisted. It takes finger tip control.
The bird has excellent manners in the air and is fun to fly. One question: I read the attached pdf and can get the AP to track the localizer, but I'm not having any luck tracking the glideslope. Is this modeled, or do I go to the TACAN position? Otherwise, this is a fast, nimble, very stable platform that is a delight to fly. It's a great addition to any sim hangar.. Great job! Terry

Sorry, but I don't see a problem really. The pop up is showing the same terrain/map display as you see in the VC. All the function button (on the map) appear to be there. If you're asking why the bezel isn't showing as well. . .that's eye candy, and none of the buttons are functional. . .no reason to show that.

Hello Falcon409,

I don't understand your remark!
What I am asking is however simple !!
I do not have the same display on the 2 gps, as soon as I select a key on one, it does not affect the other window, voila, that's it!
Other GPS (carenado for example) work in concert, on the panel and on a separate window! (Shift + X)
It may be impossible in this case!
But maybe Ian's answer is suitable!
cordially.

Alain
Alain,

My answer was fine based on the information you offered. When you post an image and say simply that you can't get the same image on both. . .it doesn't explain what you're actually wanting to know which is "When I select a key on one it doesn't affect the other". . .also "other GPS's" don't always work as you expected this one to. The only time that works is if the VC GPS display has a "Pop Up" function attached to it. When you hover over a GPS and the "hand" icon is displayed then you can get a pop up of the VC GPS, and in that scenario, what you do on the pop up will affect the final display in the VC.

On the AMX, that is not the case. The Pop Up, when selected from the drop down menu is a separate function that does not affect the VC and is usually one that people will "undock" and move either to a separate monitor or leave in the main window, albeit reduced in size.

...(I thought it has been a shot of a new painting for FSX/P3D...)
Many greetings

No, sadly no one has taken an interest in the AMX enough to produce any liveries.

Hi falcon409

Perhaps somebody will make repaints in the near future. In any case some good repaints for transforming to FSX Format are available today as shown ...

You must take in account that this bird is in use only in two countries (Italy and Brazil as far as I know)... That means possible, different layouts for paintings are limited by comparison with - for example - US Navy aircrafts with their infinite colorful variants...

However I´am happy to have one more nice bird in my collection...:gameon:
