Hi,

i would like to upload the carriers USS Ranger and the Independence Class to the library in here. Till now there never was a problem with that. But now there is only space for file 18.54 Mbytes as zip-file. :banghead:

Is there a new limitation for uploads ? If this will be the new restriction in here, i cant share the models because i got no own server to save the files on.

It's most likely the size of whatever accompanying image you've uploaded. There is a limit there. My scenery files are far larger than that and they upload with no problem. I also get an error if my pic is too large.

Good morning,

The file size should not be a problem. Just be sure that the .jpeg size doesn't exceed the alloted file size, or allowable dimensions. Also, double-check that you didn't accidentally try to upload the file in the image box, that could also cause that error.

Every time the same mistake. Just did not matter if with image or without. Image is 20 kb 400X221 pix. Every time i got the upload error. Never had this before and file were much bigger before.

Ok.... will stop to try....

is it possible that there is an upload limet for a user over allhis files ? i meen a limet that oneusecan use...andthen no more files arepossible?

Klaus,Have you had any luck getting these uploaded? Wondering if you split them apart, if that would have bearing on the outcome?

A check of the uploads area shows the answer is no. . .nothing yet. I'm surprised about several things. . .first, his file sizes both for the ships and the image are well within the requirements for upload. My scenery files are sometime 2 to 3 times that size and they upload with no problems. The other surprising thing is that this hasn't been corrected. Rami is always on the job to be sure problems are handled in a timely manner. . .so maybe there's something that's caused the upload to be put on hold.

Last upload I did a few weeks ago spat a dummy until I reduced the size of the jpeg. It was the image that was too many meg, not the cockpit...;)

Just a minute ago i tried to upload without picture (taking the link as advised)... same result. No upload possible.Filesize is 177 MB. So i`m shure...it is the file size and there must be a limitation for users file upload over all his files. Seams that i did to much uploads in here :grumpy: . So..... bag your pardon.... no new carriers (Ranger, Independence class, Midway class 1950 and Saipan class ready for upload) in here. :dizzy:

Any chance Klaus could get some troubleshooting help from one of the admins with library access/experience?

Duckie and Klnowak,

Mystery solved. Klnowak maxed out his total upload limit of 5,120MB as a Member+. I went into the Admin chamber and bumped him up to a Charter Member which doubles up his upload storage to 10GB, and this also will boost his downloading speed.

Congrats, you just "leveled up" at SOH.

Thanks for the TLC Rami! I figured it had to be something fairly simple. It just needed somebody with the horsepower to get it done. :encouragement::encouragement:

Learn something new all the time. I had no idea that limit even existed.

Way to go all and many thanks to Rami for getting this issue out in the open and fixed. Klaus, i know we all look forward to the continuation of your work and in the near term, flying some vintage and WWII carrier sorties.
