It seems to me that this is not the first attempt to attract NASCAR back to Rockingham. It would be nice to see Rockingham back on the circuit, but I would not place any bets on this happening.

Boy....is that Sad to see!! Nazareth was an exciting track for CART. Lots of memories of a great era in Open-Wheel racing were made there.

It seems to me that this is not the first attempt to attract NASCAR back to Rockingham.
They hosted a Truck Series race in 2012 and 2013. Rumors then said Rockingham could have hosted a Cup race after that, but this never happened.
