Shortly after the Farnborough Airshow, I read a post either here or at AVSIM (I can't remember which) in which what appears to be a traditional loop was performed twice. There was some friendly back and forth debating whether it was truly a loop or something that only looked like a loop because of the camera's angle and extreme zoom.

I mean, everyone knows a C130J "Super Hercules" can't do a loop, right?

Well, this morning I found the definitive answer to the question directly from the aircraft's pilot!

Turns out it was neither of the above. It was a 'corkscrew'... https://www.avsim.com/files/forum/emoticons/laugh.png

I'd believe him, after Captain Sim's does one in FSX without going out of speed or G limits. (Very minimal fuel when I tried it.) Even if it wasn't a bonafide loop it was still mighty impressive.

OK, so now I'm going to be challenged to try to do loops in my C-130?? Maybe tomorrow. Funny coincidence about the Farnborough Airshow cropping up here and at AVSIM if anyone here reads the articles at Flightsim.com........Not to give too big a hint!

Have a great day, Bill!:wavey:

Argh, it was at flightsim.com where I read that thread. Oh well, that's what happens when we get older. Advanced CRS isn't fun at all... :loyal:
