Has anyone been able to get ETO to work in Windows 10? Everything is in the right places (app data, documents) but I am stuck in Era 1. I noticed when I run the spawn selector the messages in the cmd window say access denied. I am following the install ReadMe...:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Thank you very much for these files.
Having recently found my old 2cd CFS3 discs thought I would give it a another try.
With the ETO expansion, up to rev 1.2, and the new shaders installed it really is worth the effort.
Installing into Win10 is not without its challenges but all the information is available on this site to make the process a success.
Had a small issue with a couple of the shader files, d3d8.dll and d3d8.ini, no idea what they do but after removal all is well.
Now looking for the BoB expansion, tried the recommended site but it is not responding, is it still available?

If you remove d3d8.dll and d3d8.ini then Ankor's Sahders won't work so you might as well remove the shaders30 fiolder. If you want Ankors Shaders then you need all 3. As to what they do, the readmes will tell, you.

Thanks mongoose; I figured WTH so I changed the ETO install CFS3.exe properties and shazaam! - I now have all eras! :applause:Only one glitch left...when selecting either the desktop shortcut or the ETOspawnselector.bat I get the attached "....cannot find file specified". My temporary work around is to shortcut the era spawn batch files and name them in alignment with how they're named on the spawn selector cmd screen (1-8). So, I can select appropriate era spawns now; meanwhile, I will review a text version of the selector batch file to see if I can find the issue. Unless somebody knows of a fix for this that was identified over the past 10 years that is...

You sort of lost me on the ETOspawnselector.bat since I see no mention of any eras in it . It does reference several specific batch files, such as 04 Attack in the West ALLIED Side.bat, etc. So I am not sure what is the issue here.

Just a note. Don't use the CFS3 AnKor,s shader option in the part 4 download. It is the old one. Please use the latest AnKor shader download found here at SOH .Here is a link http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=13&linkid=23304 . Sorry for any problems.

Some of them do seem to require one to go through several stages to get to the download page, but one can still get there. Close the first new window which shows up, and then if you click on the zip file icon twice IIRC, the download page shows up and one can download.

Thanks got another problem now. I decided to reinstall CFS 3 to to a fresh start on the whole thing. BAD IDEA.. Found my old CFS discs , but no activation code to be found. not sure if I can find,but I'm scanning my old HD's to see if I can find it.Will update

Yes I found it in the installation. I have it running fine now with the PTO expansion.

Hi! I am new here to the forum having just recently gotten CFS3 installed and also got the Just Flight Battle of Britain installed too (at last! - windows 10 was causing issues, had to do it via windows 7 first) then i saw that there is the ETO expansion which sounds even better. I couldnt find anywhere to get it until i saw this post.

I just went to download it but mediafire wont let me unless i get a premium account - is there any way around this, i thought normally one could freely download through mediafire

i am having just though an issue with the last thing - the installation guide. the mediafire downloader does not seem to be working for it. would someone have a copy of the installation guide perhaps that i could possibly get also so i can get the install procedure right?

After many years absent i got back to cfs 3. Eto installs correctly but after firing up the game the whole ground textures are glitched. Houses ressemble more old destroyed cottages than real buildings. I remember having this problem before and find out a link to the scenery files and then it turned out great.

Any help would be very appreciated,

Greetings, do you have any duplicate files in your Assets folder (including sub-folders)? You might have an extra scenerysheet.dds in a sub folder, for example.
