Ducati has posted the highest speed for a MotoGP bike ever at Mugello this weekend, 355+KPH!

Michelle Piro had a very big accident at 350+KPH receiving concussion and bruising(!!!).......discharged from Hospital so he can go back to the event as a spectator ONLY. :encouragement:

It was a good race for Ducati. I'm not really a Lorenzo fan, but I'm happy for him as he had quite some bad luck over the last seasons.

I think Marquez was pushing a bit too hard. Went too fast into the first corner and consequently went too wide, ran Petruzzi from the track, did hit Innaone and crashed in the 5th round..... It must have been hard for a Honda rider to see that even the Suzukis were faster!

Cheers,
Huub

I thought if he saved it, like he seems to do most of the time using both knee and elbow to right the bike, he would probably win it. Re-shaped tank or not, JL99 should be up at the front fighting with MM93 and Dovi. Ducati owner and happy to see 2 red bikes on the podium. Funny how things happen when you may not have a ride next season (99,29).

I was really happy to see Jorge dominate the race, been far to long coming!
Yes, I'd say Marc pushed it a little bit hard a little too soon, that hard front needed a few more laps to come up to full grip.
Typical effort on his part to almost save it!!!!
And getting back on the bike is the mark of a real racer................:encouragement:
Lorenzo has now done what Rossi never managed to do, winning on a Duke.
Quite surprised at the pace of the Suzuki's as well, not so much at 'Crazy Joe', but Rins was well up there.
Seven bikes down by the end of lap 2 as well.
Meanwhile at the IOM, new Superbike lap record of 134+mph and a new Sidecar lap record as well.
