Hey folks

I cant seem to find any info on a parts that is on the A 1 Balilla that I'm building so I thought I would see if anyone in here knows. I'm not sure what it does, if it will need animation, anything...lol It's the part with the arrows pointing at it, one on each side.

Thanks

Chris

Looks like they may be aileron pushrods.

Kinda what I thought Felix but they would be a long way from the ailerons. Perhaps a tube to carry the aileron wires?

I think that they work like the ones on a Nieuport 11. They are attached to a horizontal tube in the upper wing that serves as the pivot that the ailerons rotate around.

So your saying that the tubes would move up and down with the aileron animation?

thats right Chris...they are pushrods connected to the control column and then connect to pivots inside the upper wing which inturn run the length to the aileron. They do move, but not very much.

Cheers

Chris,
I'm sure you've seen this website...

There's a crank and rod linkage under those fairings, but why not e-mail Signore Casirati and ask him exactly how it works?

It's a bug in the forum. It has to do with a pre-crash database file and the post ID #'s.
