this is great news to me .a company calling itself
http://www.airstrikefirefighters.com/ (http://www.airstrikefirefighters.com/has)
(http://www.airstrikefirefighters.com/has) bought T-23 and is rebuilding it for service later this year, hopefully.it will still need to be carded and tested, and with the USFS history of ruining Aero Union, there maybe several big hurdles to over come.i know people have argued that im wrong in what happened, but the head man at aero union at the time they got shut down is a family friend and he told me what really happened, wasnt good, the man at the USFS should have been prosecuted ,he did get fired from lockheed martin when they found out what had happened.still sucks, but this company is bringing a few back.
there was a discussion reciently where someone had over head views of one P3 at Davis monthan.T2- and T21 are there, one is to be scraped and possibly the second one as well.

edit..Norm sent me this today too.

Dave,
Thanks for the kind words. Yes we are trying to bring back the P3s and get a fleet of them going again. We have the first one undergoing a “D” check (heavy maintenance) with another to follow in a couple of months. Eventually, we hope to return 6 of them to their full glory. We are trying to raise funds and apply for contracts for next year.
Say hello to your mom, I hope life has settled down for you both, after your move from your old home. Give her a hug from me.
Norm

Dave, you need to adjust your link. You need to remove the word 'has' from the link for it to work.
