I recently found these old forgotten photos in my connection and scanned them today. I good friend of mine took these photos during Operation Bight Star 90 (1989) while flying over the Giza Pyramids. Both the KC-135A and B-52G are from the 379th Wing of Strategic Air Command from Wurtsmith AFB, Michigan. Just wanted to share them with everyone here.

Hey Storm,

Cool shots from a special place! That second shot is amazing! We were at Wurtsmith from 66-69. My father was assigned to the 445th FIS - 75th FIS. That place could get scary cold in the winter!

How times have changed...the 379th BW is now the 379th AEW and is the host unit at Al Udeid AB, Qatar...

I spent some time in the observer's spot in a water burning tanker myself. Pictures can never do justice to that view!
