Hi All
I am having a lot of problems getting seaplanes to launch from a Busssard Class ST that I have been working on.
The usual problem is with the aircraft not sitting on the catapult, and actually sitting on the water under the ship, whereby the ship just passes over it. (I have seen this before and, thanks to bloodhawk23, this was solved by moving the start point further forward.)
I tried to fix this by mowing the start point to the middle of the ship or raising the start point with the unusual result of having the game start with the plane in mid air and stalling before it repeats the starting in mid air and stalling, then continually repeating this behaviour.
Perplexing:dizzy:
I have the Catapult Cfg file in the folder.
The ship cfg is shown below.
[fltsim.0]
title=SMS_BussardClassST
sim=SMS_BussardClassST

takeoff_stop=0.0,7.228,44.919
landing_start=0,0,0
landing_touch_down=0,0,0
landing_stop=0,0,0
[platform.0]

; vertices should be defined in model coordinates,
; and counter-clockwise order when viewed from above.
: REMEMBER, positive z is out the TAIL of the ship
; the shape may be concave or convex
; there may be from 3 to 20 vertices (limitation
; may go away later) and they must all be on the same
; plane.
vertex.0=-1.4,6.228,44.919
vertex.1=-1.4,6.228,-41.427
vertex.2=1.4,6.228,-41.427
vertex.3=1.4,6.228,44.919
[Dynamics]
pitch_wave_moment_scale = 1.5
bank_wave_moment_scale = 1.5
pitch_damp_moment_scale = 1
bank_damp_moment_scale = 1
Any ideas?
Cheers
