Is there some way in FSX to get more than one flyable aircraft on the screen at the same time? Other than in multiplayer?

I was thinking I'd like to try a screenshot several of the ones I've painted in the same shot. I think I've seen this done before, just not sure how it was done.

Thanks in advance,

Willy

Willy, you can use FSX "Recorder." Record a flight with your particular aircraft. Then set that recording as AI and fly again. The previous flight will appear and you can fly along side getting all the pics you want. Matthias Neusinger stopped production of updates several years back but it is still a fantastic tool.

Willy,

just off the top of my head several ways are possible.

FSRecorder --- record a flight and save it. Play that flight as traffic and record again with a different aircraft, Repeat as necessary.

Formation setup --- a freeware program that allows up to 4? planes beside player aircraft to be in a formation. I have used it with mixed results.

AirTraffic FSX --- a payware program that can place up to 6 different aircraft besides the player aircraft, among other things. Works much better that Formation setup. It can be found here (http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=airtrfcfx). Personally, I think this is by far the best and easiest solution as I have not had a problem getting the different aircraft to show.

Hope this helps.

It is a payware program, but AI Tracker X can do what you are asking. There are other freeware alternatives such as FS Recorder also.

I took these pics of century series fighters with AI Tracker X. Just to be upfront, although I'm not directly involved with the company, I was actually helping the developer to test before he released it.

I really like AIFormationToys (I think that is what it is called). It is a freeware program. The only downfall is that payware aircraft (because of their HD textures) show up with no textures.

AiFormation Toys v4 can be found here: https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/18930/fsx-ai-formation-toys-v4/

I am going to presume FSRecorder is so commonly available it's readily found.

Hope this helps a little :)
