I have an older PTO Mission where a re-skinning of an Aircraft is required.

I tried using the "How to make a stand-alone" aircraft by ndicki from the "Projected knowledge base."

I am one of those guys who measures 3 times but still cuts it short.

I tried loading it in my PTO but it told me politely that I goofed!

Is there anyone willing to review my aircraft to see where I went wrong.

You can send me a pm and I will email you my aircraft and the original.

"Donot Laugh Too Load!

Thanks

The primary issue was that the names for the key files (cfg, xpd, air, m3d) needed to match exactly.

There was also some hex edits needed in the m3d and mos file to reference the new textures.

To adjust the cockpit view you need to edit the Pilot Station in the xpd file (it's near the top).

<Station Name="Pilot" Type="pilot_station" View="0" FovUp="30" FovDown="15">

would become

<Station Name="Pilot" Type="pilot_station" View="0" FovUp="20" FovDown="25">

Change the values to suit your need for seeing more or less of the dash panel.

You can also use the bracket keys [ and ] to move your view in and out when sitting in the cockpit.

Haven't you lost part of your windshield in the process? It seems that all that's left of it, is the bullet resistant glass...
