A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - Russian

Description: Hi to all,

This is a revamp of the old Hurricane 2a made made by the guys of VB Planes.

I've added new textures, representing a plane belonging to Soviet Aviation (VVS), 609th IAP, Finnish front, 1942-43, plus a new, full view 2d panel based on Morton's fabulous Hurricane widescreen panel. The front panel is by Morton, the other views made by me.
Hope you enjoy it!

The early VVS aircraft paint is alway interesting. Such odd colors!

Gius, if you replace your mdl file with the one in my attachment, you can modify your panel to eliminate all of the multi-directional windows which you use to compensate for no VC. It would appear that there are somehow two different mdl's in circulation for this kite, both same exact size, but one has VC and the other doesn't. The attached model is the rudimentary VC version with working gauges, which you'll need to rearrange and resize to get them proportionally acceptable. Mind you, its not the typical eye candy design, but like i said, the gauges are dynamic and you also get a gunsight to boot.

I made some mods to your total panel setup. If you need my help. I could email it to you for updating your upload.

Hello Bearcat,
thanks for advice, but the lack of a VC in the model is intentional: i've removed it myself...
because that VC is, in my humble opinion, quite ugly. However, i've forgotten that without a gunsight in VC view the AIs don't
properly aim their guns. Is there a way, if you know, to make use of both VC and fixed views contemporarily? is there
any change to any parameter in panel.cfg, for example the zoom to accomplish this task?
I saw in a Morton's work (the G4M1 by Stuart Green) that this can be realized... Any help is appreciated
Regards,
Giuseppe

Hmm...I didn't know that...

Sorry man, can't help with that. Using VC and 360 degree fixed views together has never been appealing to me personally. In the past, whenever i've encountered this in a panel setup i immediately modified it to have VC only, no matter how ugly it was. Its just too much on my eyes, especially when the canopy framing or cockpit window framing in the fixed views don't exactly line up with those in the VC

Description: Hello,

This is the version of my soviet Hurricane 2a, without the full views 2d panel and with a rudimentary VC. It includes a new modified panel setup by Bearcat241 and a pack of modified gauges, equally by him.

Hope you appreciate!!

Thanks to: Martin Wright for DxtBmp, the VB Planes guys for a nice Hurricane, Bearcat241 for the new panel setup and gauges.
