Hiya fde_bressy!

Thanks very much for these two great skin packs.

I have been able to get all of the BSK skins to install just fine- mo problems.

The Burnage skins, not so smooth.

Are we supposed to be installing them using the fbvigen.zip pack? Or adding them by swapping the files into a pre-existing fully functioning Burnage aircraft folder?

Also, my favorite of your Burnage skins is the RAF-De Havilland Mosquito B.Mk.IX. But try as a might. I can't seem to lose the bare metal exhausts. Is this what it is supposed to look like?

When I swap out model.1 for model.2 from the fbvigen pack, I get this look. Guess this is what its supposed to look like, eh? Ok.

PS: One other small issue. The inside of the cockpit appears quite bright and "lit up". I was thinking that the lights might have been on but when I hit L it only got brighter. A small thing but I was wondering.

Cheers,
MR

Okay,

Well, I got them all loaded up and flew them all in the sim.

Overall, I love the textures and all of the weapons call outs, etc.. Great stuff!

A few minor issues:

(1) The Burnage RAF-De Havilland Mosquito PR.Mk.I called out soemthing called mosquitodroptankrecco that spit out a missing model message. I edited it and attach it here (changed it to mosquitodroptankday)
(2) There are some odd little visual anomalies that really don't amount top much but they are noticeable:

a. The spinners on many of the planes, viewed from certain angles with the light shining on them take on the appearance of being light bulbs- lit from the inside- and very brightly lit at that.
b. The control surfaces quite often take on a darkened and at times black appearance.

Other than that I really enjoy the new ACs. They're keepers!

Thanks again!

Hello Maskrider

Thank you for the comments.
I had the same problem with spinner and control surfaces, but I couldn't silve it, sorry.
The recco droptank comes from another repaint found in the library, and I can sent it to you if you wish.
I'm also working on a Mk.XVIII Tse-tse version, with a nice Mollins 57mm cannon

Schould be ready in the coming days.
Regards and nice flights

Hiya fde_bressy

WRT to sending the "recco" drop tank, sure, that would be fine! Thanks.

You know I'm still not sure I am using the correct original Burnage model to work with.

Am I right that we should be using fbvigen.zip as a base for these skins? Here is why I ask:

All six versions show guns sticking out of the front.
Five of the six AC have "recco" listed as the first load-out.
Only one AC has "guns-only" listed as the first load-out.
The AC listing "guns-only" as the first load out is the only one that shoots.
So, 5 of the six AC show guns but do not shoot guns.

(BTW) The only one that shoots is PR Mk.XVI

So, that is why I am wondering if fbvigen.zip is the correct Burnage AC pack to be using?

Thanks
MR

Hello again,

Sorry for not mentionning it in the Readme file, but you're right, teh proper file to be used is the bomber file, except for the SAAF, which is based upon the FB.Mk.VI file. I should pay more attention for the next up-loads:redface-new::culpability::distrust:

Ah hah. I figure there must be something I was missing.

I went looking around for just anything I could find by burnage that might clear things up. Found the BIVgen.zip file mentions all over the place. But every single link to it was broken. :banghead:

I have a copy of fbvigen.zip but can not find a copy of BIVgen.zip anywhere!

If you have a copy could you please send it ti me via email? I'll PM you with my email address.

Thanks
MR

PS: also NFIIGEN.zip if you have it! Thanks!

PPS: NEVERMIND! I found all three right here at SOH!

Thanks.
