I have been playing with Dave Hanvey's Me-209 II recently. Slowly refurbishing MDL & textures. Still WIP (believe it or not, the right side is blank ! :biggrin-new:), the MDL is great, with almost no distortion, allowing for up to date textures, the original were rather basic. Trying to depict one of the prototype, will see for a few "what if" when finished. Cheers L'iguane

Kurt, I am sorry you ended up with Covid, but I'm glad you were protected to a large extent. With two family members with compromised immune systems, including myself, I worry about that too. I went through actually having Covid before I was vaccinated. I am glad you are recovering well. Many thanks for your work on this model, I look forward to flying again after my move!

There's provision for changing your email, you're not locked in by any means. It's just that all your purchases and licenses are tied to the account. So you want to change the email on the account, not delete the original account. It's like any electronic purchases, such as buying downloadable planes, purchasing games from Steam, signing up for a streaming video service... The ownership is tied to the account, but you can change the email associated with that account. Glad you got it sorted out!

If they drop XML it's going to present a LOT of problems for everybody including developers. Anything with XML gauges for example, is not going to work and will probably crash. Our Cessna for example uses an XML autopilot so we have to change. There are add-ons out there (payware) that use XML gauges and they will have to be changed. Although the work is a bit of a headache I am more annoyed at the fact that we were given no prior notice by the developers. So much for co-operation being a two-way road.:engel016:

The effects being optional would be ideal, but I don't want to branch off another build just for lights. It's looking like I'm already going to have to make a second branch just for proper photogrammetry compatibility, so that right there would be 4 different branches.. You can see how this quickly becomes a pain to manage. What would be ideal is the ability to toggle the lights on/off using a command or radio frequency. I don't know that this is possible just yet, but it's something to look into..

You could maybe do two versions, one with lights and one without so everyone has a choice.

Part of the nearby seaplane base, on Lake Winnebago. There is also a lot of static planes and camping added at the Fond du Lac Airport, just south of Oshkosh, which acts as the overflow field during Airventure.

Some more shots of the PilotEdge EAA Airventure Oshkosh scenery (which also includes many other locations associated with flying to/from the event). Other than some of the warbird parking being a bit off, I can tell those who worked on creating this scenery know Airventure very well!
