Found the problem in the Community folder. It was the PMS50-instrument file. Took a while to sort through the mess, but that one stood out as an issue before. Deleted, now all is well. Time to do a deep weed of my community folder. -d

I tried that once and it didn't work for me. My guess is that stopping the download automatically deletes the compressed files that the sim was having trouble extracting. What I posted is from the Official board, and generally works well - at least for me.

Her parents said that too! Maybe it's because the only thing I ever get there is the grilled ham and cheese. Probably hard to screw that up!

I rarely use the MSFS controller settings. I don’t like having to change profiles for every airplane I fly. Ever since FS9, I have used FSUIPC. Currently I also use Lorby’s Axis and Ohs. All default settings, I.e., trim, flaps, lights, go into FSUIPC. I will use Axis and Ohs for the aircraft specific functions. I can and do back up both FSUIPC and Axis and Ohs config/Templates. This way I don’t lose my settings if I have a crash. With six Leo Bonnard button controllers, a Honeycomb yoke and throttle setup, plus a new Winwing stick and throttle base, I have a lot of settings that I don’t want to lose. For those interested, I also have a third program to set controllers called SPAD.next. It is very powerful but complicated and hard (for me)to use. I will sometimes use it for setting...

IFE said in a Facebook post that JustFlight decided not to carry the Tornado, because it would compete with the in-house one they're developing.

The texturing also seems to be top notch. I'm going to have dinner with some mates. After the coffee with cognac, I'll probably succumb... :biggrin-new: Cheers, Priller

Hi All, Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated. I have finally seemed to have resolved the issue. At first I thought it might be something to do with the community folder, I changed the name so MSFS could create a new one - No joy. Deleting the .fscontent folder didn't work, so I then tried deleting the whole of the packages/official folder with the same result.

You're right, they do look too long in the screenshot, but it's probably (hopefully!) just the angle the pic was taken from as the wings are mounted higher than the tailplane. The trailing edge wingtip should be roughly in line with the front corner of the tailplane. I'm away all next week, so I'll pick this up when I return.

I can resolve these loops just by stopping and restarting the download, which generally picks up at the last module it completed. I don't recall having to restart the sim and I have never had to go looking for temp files to delete. August

Alas, all that seems wonderful may not be....Whilst using Ankor's shaders it seems that reflections from muzzle blasts can be a problem. The muzzle blasts from JU88 with ventral guns places reflections on the interior cockpit. Reflections on the exterior are well appreciated but not on the interior pits (except of course from the schrage music on the aft fuselage). Is there a way to control these reflections so they do not light up the interior and reflect off of all elements in the virtual cockpit? I image if I just eliminate muzzle the flash this would work, but seems rather drastic to me. But if there is no other solution that will be the answer. BTW I know there is a way to eliminate the muzzle flash, could someone please remind me? :dizzy: Also, when I use the texture...
