Virtavia's Skyhawk was also susceptible to tipping over. (I remember the Virtavia A3D and F-11 Tiger also gave me issues.) Maybe it's just the nature of the beast? SWS's Midway Battlegroup addon did something with their carriers that virtually eliminated tipsy aircraft when trapping, even the Skyhawk. (Unfortunately it interfered with planes like my Wilco and SSW Harriers hovering ability. Apparently FSUIPC likes one or the other but not both, so I uninstalled MBG.)

I'm working with Vince Hellegouarch (3D modeler of the VPA Rafale series) to get the Rafale B and Rafale M groups ready for distribution. Since the B and M include at least 16 external models each along with all of the textures (even if repeated -- this was from FS2004 days before cfg files), I will probably upload them to SOH for distribution. I've only been out of the hospital for a short time and much of that has been spent with doctors so please bear with me. :ernaehrung004:

Welllll, Kinda! There is an FS9 model done 11 years ago that by todays standards is very rudimentary. It might be a good starting point for someone who was ambitious and wanted to update that model (not start from scratch). There is no VC section in the panel config but there is a VC (of sorts, no gauges just artwork). Updating the textures would go a long way to making it a much better model as a lot of the framework and engine parts are using one single swatch. The only credit I notice was to John Hauck for making it FSX compatible. There was no readme and no mention of who the original model was made by. You can find it here

There's a new version of the C-17, v3.0 with a completely new 3D model, better avionics, etc. on GitHub. It's not on FS.to, so guessing maybe they're among the devs who moved off the platform after the recent bruhaha. https://github.com/Delta-Simulations/MSFS-C-17/releases/tag/V3.0

I can't show anything YET for obvious reasons but what I can say as i'm working the Phantastic old girl, and will stick my neck out on the line for the Phantom about it, is that i've been upscaling textures into 8K (gotta give the rivet/panel line decal guy a good guide!), On Panel lines alone I've covered the bases off of Pre KY-28 Secure Voice System/Speech Security System installation, post KY-28 install (known as Door 629), Door 19 Mod 3 variation, Door 19 Mod 5c Variation (now why would I do Door 19 Mod 5c I wonder?), all the prior antennae are still present covering a whole slew from things like Shoehorn Mods 1 & 2, AN/ALQ-126 on the intakes.... etc... if you're familiar with the SWS Phantom you're familiar with this anyway, it's a ways off yet as Alex says but it's somewhat active...

The Scrapyard Monster is out at flightsim.to! I can confirm it is contributing to global warming: Cockpit detail puts the Just Flight Hawk and PMDG 737 to shame!

Thomas and Javis, thanks so much for the info! I have not messed with repainting yet, and this sounds like fun to fool with. I have Photoshop, etc. but the whole PBR channel and opening files to see vibrant crazy colors for the various channels just confused me the few times I poked around. Your posts clear some of that up, so I'll have to dive in. And maybe copy your panel files to a few other liveries, TiAir!

it seems, the problem comes if you have two and more "overlayed" PBR texture sets (albedo and its composite). I can see it in several models, not only in the Norseman. The only solution I found (with the current SDK) is quite simple and I did it on the SE-CBC repaint: put the albedo material texture fully transparent and reduce the underneath whole composite-texture of the gauge to pure yellow.
