I appreciate that there are still planes developed for FSX, but the RFN Crusader satisfies all my Crusader-needs. 35 euros is a fair price, but I'll stick to the freeware. :playful: Cees

Hi L, If you have the gauges installed in your main gauges, then I think the issue is that you're not cycling through your views as H suggests. It's a strange anomaly of slats that are operated by gauges in FS9, in that you have to view the panel for the gauge to be active. So, as the slats are activated by the panel gauge, you cycle your views through the 2D/VC at the start, and the gauge will then work on the slats...strange but true! ;) As for shine and MDLC. If you wish to have a go yourself, and on a 64 bit OS, you can do it using this, along with this or PM me and I can sort out your shine, as I run all my...

You are right! Already purchased and tried, well, in my opinion it's very very well modeled, inside and outside, it flies smootly without crazy behaviours, also the RF-8 G photo-recon is part of the package and the prototype with nose probe for test flights data. The VC is simply FANTASTIC. On the downside of this addon, we have : No Tacpack integration and, always in my opinion at low speeds during the approach, even if you read, let's say for example 140 Kts on the anemometer, the feeling you have looking outside is that you are flying more slowly, something like 70/80 KTS... Last point is that a very basic manual is provided :loyal:

It's the Aerosoft Lightning family -- the F1A first, then the F2A. There are P3D mods available on the Aerosoft forum. Lightning pilots were a strange breed. They kept one eye on the situation outside, one eye on the radar and one eye on the fuel gauges. Dave

Read through Skippy’s development of this appealing app. Are most of the bugs now worked out? Can you please share the 64 bit version?

menef, thanks for the heads-up. Purchased the package but haven't tried it out yet. I thought we used to have more F-8 Crusader fans here. I'm surprised there's been no more comments since your original post. :(

Exactly. A flying machine without a fin or rudder. It did have ailerons, but not as we know them, Jim. Thus it was hardly surprising that it was not a runaway success. This time it really is over to Texas! :ernaehrung004:
