Hi Chris, Good to see you are still around. We are still here, but the amount of who can call themselves "we who are here" has become quite small over the years. Most people have moved ahead and have arrived at MSFS now. Even the amount of people who still fly in FSX or P3D is reducing. The people who stayed here mainly prefer to modify instead of virtual flying..... "We" are weird folkes, but nice company in most cases. Cheers, Huub

Hello everyone Not sure who is still here and who is gone but I am working on getting back into this great hobby. I made copies of all the projects I had going and have been re-installing all the software needed. If anyone knows of good instructions on building for FSX let me know, would love to build some for that sim also. Chris

If anyone can put me on the path to get this fixed I'd appreciate it. I tried doing an "exclude all Terrain Items", then went back and added a water poly to fill that area again, but that was "No joy". I also seem to remember possibly drawing a poly around the area and setting it as a "hole". . . .but the signal dies right after that, lol

Apparently it was just some stuff for the racing part, and nothing with any of the airplanes.

Use REGEDIT (see jpg file) to search for FSDESIGN until you find these folders under Abacus in the old PC. Right clicked on the FSdesign2 folder to export a registry key (FSDS2.reg) file. Now copy the FSDS2 or 3 folders from the old PC to the exact location on the new PC. Copy the the new reg files to the desktop of the new PC. Clicked on the file FSDS2.reg to update the information to the new PC. Repeat the same procedures for FSDS3. You will need to go to Martin Wright website (he has broken the FSDS2 program) to download this patch.

I will also add that this page contains more information than you could ever possibly need when setting up your cameras, lots of good information and useful shortcuts.

Hello fellow long-time lurker, first-time poster! I live near EFTS #12 (Goderich) and have been curious to learn more about MSFS scenery making. As it stands I have no applicable experience but would be curious to learn more and follow the project.

Same guy(s) indeed, though this one drives a bit better than that Delage. Probably still not very realistic, but good enough to at least finish the lap! :biggrin-new:

... probably many of you know about these, but maybe a few newcomers like me don't know. 1) FPS display. Go to Windows 10 menu and click settings, then gaming. Enable xbox game bar. Then Win/G to show it. Click 4th item across - performance. Click FPS, it will ask you for approval so click. Then a windows restart is needed. Do it and you're good to go with Win/G. If it acts weird in other games or browsers, you can easily turn game bar off. 2) If you've completed a flight and want to do it again later, go to pilot profile, logbook, find the flight, click on it, then on fly again. 3) Finding the critters. When creating a flight plan, type 'fauna' in the search box to get a list of critter locations. Click on one and set as departure, then fly. If it's night there, use...

Ah so that's the trigger, well spotted. I do check the content manager regularly, (still looking out for the Stearman update) but I didn't realise it was that that was causing the Assistance settings to reset.
