But would someone PLEASE get our X-Plane forum moved closer to FSX, P3D and MSFS 2020???? It's disgusting being all the way at the near bottom of the forum list. Even the file library has higher precedence.. I know you all hate X-Plane, but this is beyond that.. Please???? Pam.

Assuming the changing of the _t.dds and _s.dds files in the m3d folder rely on the same length file names(s), there seems to be an issue if the incorrect JF version is chosen. There seem to be different versions of JF_spitfire_1a in my installs 1. My JF_spit_MKIA folder has skin dds files such as dwespit1_t.dds or QVKspit1_t.dds while the replacement ones are Spitfire_I_DW-K_t.dds or of similar length. Also in my JF_spit_MKIA folder I have a whole host of dds files such as dwespit2_t.dds which are mentioned in the JF_spit_MKIA_DWE.M3D but AFAIK aren't needed in the repaint AH2_Spitfire_MkI-12_DW-K.M3D as the newt.dds files already cover what is in dwespit2_t.dds for instance. 1a. These versions above of JF_spit_MKIA seem to come from a folder with all Clive's Aussiex...

I know back when you did the improvements it was tough to find info on a lot of things. Here's a link for some of what I found. https://military.wikia.org/wiki/Douglas_TBD_Devastator#Specifications_.28TBD-1.29 I can't find the pic again of it carrying 2 bombs side by side under the fuselage.I probably just got lucky when I found it originally. For those who, like me can't say goodbye to the 16 year old Aeroplane heaven/Just Flight early Spitfire I have uploaded 4 repaints. I mainly did them for myself as I thought the original textures didn't do justice to the quite nice model. Due to the texture layout it was quite a challenge to do these textures, but I hope you will enjoy them. Cheers, Huub Early 19 Squadron, August 1938

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - World War II Description: This package contains a repaint depicting the Spitfire Mk.I no K9843 from 54 squadron, which received its first Spitfire in March 1939. The aircraft has the standard day-night under surfaces. 54 squadron used the squadron code DL- until September 1939, after it was replaced by KL-. This aircraft was converted into a Mk.Ia and flew with the RAF until summer 1942. To use this repaint you should have a legal copy from the early Aeroplane Heaven/JustFLight Spitfire Mk.I installed in FS2004 Enjoy. Huub May 2021

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - World War II Description: This package contains the repaint depicting the Spitfire Mk.I no K9794, with registration WZ-T. As flown by 19 Squadron RAF autumn 1938. The aircraft was known to be frequently flown by the Commanding Officer of 19 Squadron, Squadron Leader H.I. Cozens. The aircraft had the standard back & white night/day undersurfaces, while the ailerons and elevators are left aluminium dope. The reason for this is unclear to me. Some sources say this was done becasue the paint instructions were misunderstood, while other sources say was done because of fear the extra weight of the paint on the moving surfaces would cause an imbalance. To use this repaint you should have a legal copy from...

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - World War II Description: This package contains a repaint depicting the Spitfire Mk.I no K9811, with squadron code WZ-S. As it was flown by 19 Squadron RAF in October 1938. After the Munich crisis the RAF prepared for war. The yellow around the roundels was removed and the three coloured roundels on wings and fuselage were replace by a less visible red/blue version. The registration numbers were removed, most likely to to hide the number of available aircraft for the enemy. This livery shows the aircraft in the transition period, before the night/day under surfaces were introduced. This aircraft was written off on the 24 January 1940 after an emergency landing, after the pilot got lost and ran out of fuel....

If you outgrow the 1TB drive, you can always use MSFS Addons Linker to keep some sceneries, etc on a second drive. It's a great utility. I use it to keep loading times down -- I only load airports for the region I'm going to be flying in, with set-up groups like "UK and Ireland," "US West Coast," etc.

I didn't even remember I had made flight models for these, it's been that long. But, as I often do, I'd like to remind people of the boost gauge reading incorrectly, especially noticable at the +12 lbs variants - CFS3 can't model the diminishing efficiency as the boost is increased so it's a matter of choosing incorrect readings or incorrect power, and I go for incorrect readings 100% of the time. The engine produces the correct power at both full throttle and emergency power, but only the full throttle boost reading is what it should be.
