Personally the lesson learned from that really abrupt P3D/FSX products withdrawal made by Milviz/Blackbird Simulations is that now I'm considering to buy in a short time most of the FSX/P3D products that I've always wanted to have in my virtual hangar. For sure my next platform will be P3D (I'm still very happy with Fsx and tons of addons ) so, if I buy those products for FSX (but in most of the time also P3D compatible) I will have them also for P3D. Irony of fate , to make an example, 2 or 3 days before Milviz did it, I bought their Pilatus PC6 ( a real gem ) and I was very lucky:playful:

The G2 is currently the best *affordable* VR headset for computers. The Quest2 is behind (and requires a Meta account). The Pico4 is not really optimized for computer use. The PSVR2... well it seems Sony is afraid to be successful or to earn too much money, so they want to keep that for the PS5 only. The other helmets are crazy expensive. It's not a good time for VR, definitely :/

Get modelconverterX to view mdls without having to run cfs2. https://www.scenerydesign.org/modelconverterx/ JKM made much use of coloured materials rather than textures. It might be possible to use MDLmat to change these colours, but it's going to mean a lot of trial & error...

The reason I asked was I'm not sure the texture layout works on his ships. I'll probably have to mark them like paint one orange then fire up the game to see which ones which. Is there something you can view the mdl files with textures without running the game as that is time consuming and it's not a good way to view certain stuff with anyway.
