Another British Oddity available ex Flying Stations from the link given in the SwordFish thread above is the Hawker Sea Fury. This one actually is set up to go as an addon in P3DV4 so with a few changes drops into P3DV5 as addon. Only fired it up and taken it for a spin again very nicely modelled and a fairly complete set of textures from various users of the Fury. This is their thumbnail forgot to take a screenie of it! Working on getting this carrier thingy working again in P3DV5 so many nice models now including RFN's stuff to not try my hand at it again. That is another tale and not so easy it seems!

I saw this paint too but the nose will be really big challenge here ;>! Not a big problem. Thx, however I have now DHC-1 as the "main aircraft" in MSFS (maybe I changed liveries only, not the plane). I was thinking it was her weight ;). +1 for paint kit too :).

Don't have the aircraft myself but some ADF units would have one of the knobs be a dual-purpose one, pulling it out and turning to change one number, pushed in and turned for another - is there a click-spot in the centre of one of the knobs?

Personally it's a bit more aggressive than I'd go for, but the pre-2010 paint for G-HDAE is certainly an interesting livery if someone's looking to paint something... different!

I still love CFS3 and IL-2 1946 . They have all a person with a mid-range pc could want. The IL-2 BOX series are nice ,graphics wise , but not better than IL-'46 in some aspects. CFS3 has some of the best flight modeling now. WOFF/BHaH II just shows what is truly capable with CFS3. A remarkable WW I air combat sim. DCS for the diehard and those with money to burn. IL-2 Flying Circus is another good one for WW I. Not a whole lot out there anymore like in the heyday but CFS3 is still entertaining after all these years, and that says something . Regards,Scott

It really does drive home the point that the blackout was an absolute necessity during wartime.

Thanks Ted for all you do. Some exciting models to come ! Can't see how you could outdo your He-219 . It's one of my favorites of all of CFS3 aircraft. Love the Ju-88 and Bf 110's. Waiting with baited breath ! Thanks to John also for his wonderful work. Regards,Scott

That's a good suggestion, Daniel. One of the things I'm a bit worried about is that on some airbases the AI wingmen land from 1/3 to 1/2 way along the runway and I would prefer them to land closer to the start. I'm not sure if encroaching on the runway object would affect this.

I was experimenting with the new large city textures at night, to see if the occasional memory overflow crashes were the same or not. The ambient visibility level didn't seem to make a noticeable difference. That made me wonder about the additional impact of my city lights mod, and I ended up with this pretty post war scene...

thunder100 if you have any issues happy to help out. Gavinc was very helpful with the MCX Model Conversion business. I still cannot get the clear cockpit glass to show for the CV990 for some reason. I got a fix for the lighting so they are all properly aligned and some are switchable. Could not get the landing lights to do that trick because of they way they were built into the model in the first place but used FSL Spotlights to do that - works just fine! I have the ini for Spotlights - internal and external lights for the Convairs if you want that as well.
