Thanks Keith, and do you do repaints too? If so, Joe McConnell's F-86 Beautious Butch would be totally cool. He spelled it with an "I". A great movie the McConnell Story. 1955 vintage.

Yes Steve, China is basically finished, however it might come in handing if at some point if one wanted to add additional roads, railroad track, etc. I don't know how this 30x30 1 arc mesh is going to work out for the PNG. Its still being processed after over 14 1/2 days. Still in 0256 resolution with 0128 mesh files still to go. I have started to look at alternative dems just in case. If required it will mean redoing most of the shapefiles already finished. So in the mean time I am working on squadron and aircraft lists with airfield locations.

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove that GPS unit, and just have a clear landing view? The hotspot that removes the gunsight and brings up the GPS/Moving Map Display. For me is unreadable, poor eyesight, and unusable. But I really like the clear view over the nose on landing. I'd like to find a way to do away with the GPS unit all together.

I'm currently updating (or at least trying to, anyway) one of Master Ito's birds for Platinum Wings by using Allan's tutorial series and GMAX. It's for one of the planes that can't be found because nobody (other than one other person) has made it, despite the fact it's smaller brother is available. Still a lot to go on that one, but I've been working on this on and off for about a year now. It seems real life gets in the way every time I make some headway, but at least I'm making headway none the less. I'm also doing some general updates to some of his other birds that are fine "as-is" except for the handling and the air file/cfg file entries (for example, most of his birds are "jets" when they should be "prop" instead). It'll be one of the things I upload next, when I...

Hi All There is a mistake in the .dp files of all of my Cleveland Class Cruisers. 40mm Guns 6 and 7 are set to 'flak' which is a little spectacular but takes up a bit of CPU. It should read ; 40mm Gun6 gunstation.6=0,-28,1,1.25,847,4,0.1,6797,6,20,1d1*40,5.873,17.108,18.914,0,0,90,-75,75,85,-5,30.4 ; 40mm Gun7

Sure. Over the years, I have collected most of these, but one gets wrapped up in looking for the Holy Grail of simming, and forgetting how much fun there is with the older stuff. Sad that a lot has disappeared from the web, with sites closing down, and developers moving and passing on. Thankfully, SOH has saved Garry's Ford Tri-Motor project site from vanishing. I often did up Bill & Lynn Lyons's stuff as well. Always with a story & a car or boat. As for their Graf Zeppelin.. :applause:

also - The P-47 Thunderbolt was powered by the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp 18-cylinder radial engine 1. To enhance engine performance, the exhaust gases were routed into a pair of wastegate-equipped pipes. These pipes ran along each side of the cockpit and drove the turbosupercharger turbine located at the bottom of the fuselage. The material used for these exhaust pipes was duralumin. At full power, these pipes would glow red at their forward ends, and the turbine would spin at an impressive 21,300 rpm 1.
