Was hoping for a CGAviator review, but Beckett is a pretty good reviewer (I have to turn the sound of Avangel to avoid annoyance...) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjndRrYcbuQ https://youtu.be/UTcPGzD7juY The problem I have with many MSFS cockpits is that the sunlight/metallic reflection effects are way overdone...I wonder if this is the case in this one, and that in typical english weather 10/10ths at 2,000 ft with rain, it will appear darker? If not, I darkened the Swissmilsim Vampire cockpit, which was photoreal from a very used museum exhibit, quite easily, but probably one of the experts will do it :)

Note the wing radar pod ( I think Allen did one you can add thru the DP) & extra aerials. Also note the rocket stubs under the wings, & the wing leading edges seem to be painted Sea Blue, as some TBF/TBMs were... THe fuselage number & tsilfin marking is definitely not black though, I went for a mid-grey colour

Hiede, I'm not offended at all, I enjoy the discussions. I've learnt to trust decal sheets & profile drawings less & less. They're invariably based on grainy b & w photos, or half-remembered recollections by veterans many years after the event. Where possible I like to base a skin on photos, & do my own interpretation. I find it implausible that the sqn would hand-mix a mid-blue for the fuselage sides & tailfin that's darker than the 3 colour scheme Sea Blue. I think i'ts more likely they took a tricolour scheme aircraft & just painted over the white undersides with Navy Blue, as used on the top of the fuselage & wings. I do accept that my rendition of Sea Blue may look a little pale, so I'll work on a slighly revised skin based on this photo of a TBM-1D of VT(90), circa February...

Does this model have a real free castoring tailwheel? The MkI has not as the wheel moves together with rudder and it shouldn't. When I found out I never used it again. Paul

There are two clipped wing examples included with the desert/tropical variant product, and there are three clipped wing examples included with the standard variant product.

Appreciate the feed back, Have to admit I've been waiting patiently for the Pilots latest update for the Dash 7 to appear but nothing so far, believe Pilots released the latest patch 1.50 sometime ago. Regards

Never had any problems with those. Then again, I think I only own about 6 MP releases. As for the FR Spitfire Mk.V, I'm waiting to see pictures if there are clipped wings versions included in the pack. Priller

Weather works fine for me. but seeing green trees in January is my biggest gripe. Seasonal tree textures are the one thing I'm hoping for most. ATC doesn't really worry me too much. Even if I'm at FL350, I still fly with my own made-up VFR rules. If I can see the GPS, then it's Visual Flight!

She mentions a long spool time when increasing throttle. If I remember correctly, there was an FS9 version of this type that also modelled that correctly. The manual stated that normal practice at landing was to raise the throttle on approach and use the speed brakes to maintain speed. This was because if a go-around was needed, you stood a good chance of not being able to get enough thrust in time. With the engine already at power, all you had to do was retract the brakes and let the thrust take over.

Yo Mongo; About a EON ago, at a now defunked "CFS2 rip-off site" called "ABSquad". - they would steal the work of others, rebrand & upload to their site; generally using auto-installers.Although, in their favour ... I found many "unique" flight models I've not seen anywhere else. File dates say I d/l it in Sept. 2008 This package includes NCC 1701, 1701A & 1701D. Contains NO AUTHOR INFO 46 MB unzipped
