BUILDING A SHIP HULL USING FSDS2
This shows how to build a ship hull using Flight Simulator Design Studio
2 (FSDS2).
Step 1. Create a Tube

Start with using the “Tube” shape - 34 points/section,1 section, close top (for deck), structure along Y axis.

Here’s what it looks like.
Step 2. Stretch the Tube

Highlight the top set of points using the “Capture” tool and use the “Arrow” Tool to stretch the tube. (Lock the “X” and “Y” axis.)

Do the same for the stern.
Step 3. Create a Bow

Highlight the upper points and move them up.

Keep it up.

More.

Done!
Step 4. Angle the Hull Inward

Highlight the lower points.

Use the “Scale Tool” to move the points in. (Lock the “Y” axis, so the ship does not lose height.)
That's It!
That’s all it takes to create a simple hull. You can use box shapes to create cabins and tube shapes to create masts and smokestacks.
The more time you spend, the better it will look. Phil Crowther
