Go with what you like Nater. The rest of us will likely see it a little differently anyhow based on our setups and envmaps we use.

Personally, I like the first one best, but both are gorgeous.

Maty, I agree with you. I like the first alpha channel better. Luckily I wrote down how I did it! LOL!
So....preview of things to come..... no alpha channel yet, but I think it it making it look that much better...

Got the rest of the fuselage done with the detailing on the panel lines....I am pretty happy on how it turned out...

    With the first alpha channel...

That first alpha channel pass is truly impressive. I assume the dull grey was fabric covered control surfaces?

Thank you guys! I means a lot!

Sean-Yes, the dull gray is the fabric covered portion. I still need to remove the brushed aluminum effect on it though.

I will just leave this here

    Thanks!!!!

Thanks guys! You have no idea what that means to me!

So...cleaned it up a bit, and fixed some issues on the shading. Rivets have been added to the wings, and some other various things have been tweaked....

  16. #466
I think I like the more defined panel shading better...what do you guys think?

  17. #467
I agree Nater. That one gets my vote.

I think it's outstanding Nater. I'd like to see this version in a bare metal texture set.

Great version 'Nater'. Excellent look to that aluminium. You have an outstanding model to work on. Thanks for your efforts.

    Progress on livery... but slow

Working away but having some problems with mapping... I think I started with a bad one.... wings did not match...
but here is my progress... need to blend in the engines, etc. and smooth out the junctures of some parts...

Looking great Gaucho! If Milton hasn't responded in the next couple of hours, I will check to see....I want to say it is something like misc.bmp or so...but not 1000% postive. Still at work, so I should be home about 20:30 my time.

Also noticed that the outboard interior wall of the left engine...is off too high... and have to place it right by trial and error... really a pity... so much work
I am not sure I am using the latest texture templates.. though... let me know which one you are using....

    Tschuesss...
