    C-47 Paint Kit Updates!

All rivets updated (left side), cowl has flush rivets, etc...

Standard gas caps and top rivets in the works... no hamster **** rivets.

    Glass and horn sheet metal/screws...

This really is a work of art! Every time you post new images I think that it can't get any better but it does. How close to complete do you think it is?

Thanks "C" and as far as when, I checked the developers forum and no announcements yet on a release date. I'm using a FSX test model at the moment.

Got the chalk out and drew this on the chalkboard...

    ... right side forward fuselage.

    I'm sure it's a fantastic video, Ted, but I can't see it?

I just noticed something else: in the detailed side view you show in post #202, the panel lines seem a bit too grey to me. If I look at detailed images of DC-3/C-47's around the world, the panel lines are actually quite sharp, dark and well pronounced on the bare metal ones,
    like this one:
    http://media.spokesman.com/photos/20...7_srx_dc-3.jpg
    or this one
    https://planefinder.net/images/59839...to:1414117.jpg

while on painted aircraft, they become more vague as in your skin, like here:
    http://www.airplanegeeks.com/wp-cont...abitha_may.png

    maybe something to look at?
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.

Do you see the pilots from the outside? I think the C47_pilot.png as indicated in the obj file is missing?

I have the missing crew also. Haven't gone through the Aeroworx Douglas (Manfred) C-47 to see if any fix is in the works.
Not doing any textures for their version.

No problem with the lines, adjustable if need be. One example on this one is the lines are almost not visible. Similar to what I've done.

By all means that is an exceptional example, most are as you say are darker from grunge, dirt, etc.

Lines set to 100%, no alphas, no bumps....

    Ted-

I've been salivating over the thought of this paint for quite some time now... could you please provide an update? I find it easier to curb my impatience with injections of information

Due to a computer failure in December it was not worth it to fix or upgrade. Using a netbook to go online for now. Useless for PS/Quixel or running FSX.

I'm looking to build a new system with one of those 9900k or 9700k processors around the end of the year or early next year. Hoping the reviews are good.

Also looking to pick up one of those Nvidia RTX cards when P3Dv5 is released.

Sorry to see most of my pics are missing, that's due to www.fsfiles.org hack.

    Ted-

Sorry to hear, but it sounds like you will have a great new system... will await Monty’s steed then.

It's been a nice break really. Was to busy with work and all. I retired a few weeks ago and was kinda frustrating not being busy, but now I've settle in and enjoying the time.

Oh, can't wait to see the review on the PMDG 747-8.

    Video posted today.
