All existing ETO aicrafts have been updated and a couple of new ones have been included.

All these beauties come along with something like 200+ new missions, all eras and mission types are covered.

The hard work of Rob (Capt. Winters) Stevenson in putting all this together:

ETO 1.50 aircraft update package 2014.

Below are the details of which plane sets have been updated fixing various issues, and standardising pilot views. And standardising aircraft display names in game. Contributor List at end of List.

There have also been several extra aircraft added. See below for details.

    Shared textures
Replaced duplicate textures that had inconsistent images with the correct image for each texture. Example damage_RAF.dds is found in several locations in game but they had different images painted in causing random changes in game and misaligned textures on aircraft when damaged.

    AI aircraft
set a selection of AI aircraft to type 1 which allows them to be selected as enemy targets when flying quick combat missions.
These planes are not meant to be piloted by the player. They have ~ at the start of their name in the aircraft lists, which places them at the end of the line in each country designation.
They also have a message “AI only not be flown, select as target only” included in the description in game.

Bf109 aircraft (19 planes modified in total)
In some of the 109E aircraft there was a mix up with VC model files, this meant that you would see armor plate behind the pilots head when flying from the VC but the outside view would show the model without pilot armor. I went through and placed the correct VC model into each of the 109-E aircraft in game

some of the E-1 aircraft where using skins that were meant for E-3 aircraft which meant you had the bulges for cannon painted in under the wing on the E-1 but no actual bulges modelled into the wing.

Standardised VC views (all work with TrakIR)
    1. normal view (close to windscreen)
    2. instrument view
    3. wide view.
Changed short names to “type – unit- date” format. This means that all the 109 types display in alphabetical order, starting with the E types and going through to the K model.

Added in historical description for each plane.
Changed entry and exit dates to match the time frame of the unit depicted by the paint scheme.

Added in two extra aircraft: Hptn. Werner 'Vati' Molders and Oblt. Werner Lederer. Both for the May-June period 1940. (textures by John Whelan)

Spitfire (16 planes modified in total)

Due to some early problems of applying AnKor's Shaders mod to different OSs, we decided to include it only as an Option in CFS3 ETO Expansion 1.50.

Ankor-Gecko CFS 3 ETO Expansion 1.50 Shader and Shine Package (Optional)

ETO 1.50 Update AnKor/Gecko Shader and Shine Package READ ME BEFORE INSTALLATION.

    Disclaimer:
Use at your own risk. These files and instructions have been tested on multiple computers, but we take no responsibility for faulty installation or any other problems you may encounter when installing these files.

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
You MUST have DirectX 9 installed for these shaders to work. If you do not have it yet, download and install it from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=8109 (This uses a temporary folder).

or: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=35 (This one installs directly).

NOTE: It can be installed on top of later versions of DirectX.

    ************************************************** ****************************

NOTE: Before installing the ETO 1.50 shaders/shine package, PLEASE BACKUP THESE FILES AND FOLDERS!** This should be done in a safe folder OUTSIDE the CFS3 ETO Expansion main game folder.

    **Back Up These folders/files:

    *effects/fxtextures folder/files:

    sun_glare_b.dds
    sun_glare_c.dds
    sun_glare_d.dds
    sun_main.dds

**Backup these files from the CFS3 ETO Expansion main game folder:

    shaders.xml

    suneffect.xml

    ************************************************** ****************************
    Installation:
The effects folder has three subfolders with textures in them. The textures go in the corresponding folders in the CFS3 effects folder.

    shaders30 Folder
    d3d8.dll

Since my five installs of ETO (one for each era because I could never get the switcher to work properly) are all highly modified (i.e. every aircraft hex edited to work with shine enabled in Win 7, and AnKor's mod), it looks like I'm going to to have an interesting time sorting all these changes out...

    Formidable - CFS X !!!

    That list of aircraft Grizzly50.......

    It is literally jaw dropping!

So many new models as well as all the painstaking improvements to existing models.

Eat your heart out anybody who doesn't have CFS3 (Now should be called CFS X !!!!!)

Awesome!!! Just nitpicking, but I found that the Sm.79's props are missing their textures. I don't have CFS installed, but with a hex editor and a MAW install you should find the right texture to go with them!

    Question for the ETO team.

Will the spawn selector that I have made for the BoB Campaigns in ETO be compatible with v1.50?
It was modified from the spawn selector in v1.40.

Also. I am offering Regshanger.net and mrjmaint's CFS3 as a download location for the new version files.

    Thanks.

Are they going to fix the prop textures on the Avenger? They look like they are right out of CFS1!

Perhaps you could help and G max a new prop texture and share it with everyone..
    That would be really nice.
And most welcomed I do believe.
