This file contains alternative textures for the Boston A-20C, RU model Havoc by by Milton Shupe, Tom Falley, William Ellis, Roman Stoviak, GLH with original Pilot figures by Jan Visser and Bill Ortis (mod'd).
The textures depict Nationalist Chinese AF, 1947. These textures belong on a K model but as we don't have one, I used the C model.

OK Steve, I downloaded the file you sent, tried it in one of the texture folders for the helo. Sorry to say it didn't take. That's the file "ZH6_glMv.bmp". Dropped it in the texture folder like you said, no effect. Next step was to take texture "Mi8_glas.bmp" from Vladimir's Mi8MT Hip version 4.1 (2010), change its name to "ZH6_glM.bmp"; virtual cockpit windows greyed out. Tried again to move "ZH6_glMv.bmp" to texture folder, windows blacked out in virtual cockpit. Also tried pulling texture "ZH6_glM.bmp" from texture folder, replacing with "ZH6_glMv.bmp". still blacked out. Unsure of what to try next.

We are talking about fs2004 here ? I only ask as it worked for me.

EDIT: somehow my fat fingers added a v too the end of the filename "ZH6_glM.bmp". I removed the offending v then placed the file "ZH6_glM.bmp" into a texture folder and it removed the frosted look too the glass.

    Hi Huub,

I assume that's from FS9. If so would you mind sharing with us what water scenery/texture package you use and what your settings in FS9 are for water? I can never get the water to look that good/realistic no matter what I try or install.

    Cheers, Taff

Oh, good heavens, Steve - I forgot to let you know I'm flying the helo in FSX without any problems whatsoever other than this glass. I'll give what you said a try and remove and install that file w/o the "V" at the end, see what happens, and report results.

BTW I enjoy your textures very much indeed.

    Hi Taff,

The screenshot is indeed from FS9. Over the years I have played do much with my FS9 installs that I don't have a clue what cam from which package. I'm sure I used Golden Wings by Lynn and Bill Lyons as a start. But after that I think I replaced nearly everything.I like the colours for our latitude, and particular the North Sea, but they are very grey for (sub)tropical areas.

In my archives I have a very well filled folder with water improvements. And as already said, I don't know which ones I've used and which ones are just stored there.

    Cheers,
    Huub

Sorry, Steve - no go. I get a fine view forward and all around from the 2D panel but nothing at all in the virtual cockpit, just greyed-out glass.

Probably due to this being in FSX where outside view is sometimes different than in FS9. I can use the "W" or "Shift-W" keys to give me an unobstructed view forward with no instrument panel and just four basic flight instruments plus a digital ASI which is OK for landing and taking off. View is restricted to forward only due to probs w/glass as noted, even in 2D.
