It is a genuine FS9 model, but I fly most models done by Manuele in FSX without any real problems.

Thanks for the preview, really looking forward to the release!

Silly Question: Will the skins fit the CFS3 models?
    Hi Italflyer,
Almost all the skins are derived from Alex Biagi's CFS3 skins, unfortunately the original Alex's base psd is lost and I modified his textures for FS9. You can find the original CFS3 textures at Italianwings site (http://www.italianwings.it/). Please note that the modified textures aren't full compatible with CFS3.

    Ciao Manuele!

    Thanks for your quick answer.

I have already (of course!) all the paints and variants for CFS3 from the italianwings site as well as the ones included in MAW. I was thinking more of the ones that aren't there, like the swedish CR42.

    Cheers

    Hi Italflyer,
The new textures I made (Belgian,Swedish and some R.A.) modifying the Alex's original are unusable for CFS3, they are 1024x1024 and NOT 2048x2048 (as in CFS3) and I think their quality may suffer during a conversion/rescaling/mirroring process.

Just one really big problem: the virtual cockpit switches are not clickable anymore in FSX.
But appart from this, the planes and virtual cockpits display perfectly in FSX.

    Hi,

this might be old news for you, but it might be helpful to increase texture size in several steps rather than a single one.

If you take the original texture and increase it by around 10% again and again until you reach the desired size, the picture editor will create more detail than in just a single step.

    Hope this helps,
    Volker

    Hi Volker,
I'm just working on CFS3 original txts (2048x2048 dds), mirroring and reducing them to 1024x1024 after the editing.

Christmas is approaching, I wonder whether Manuele is able to meet his own drawn dead-line.....

Don't worry Manuele, we are an impatient bunch, but we understand that (your) quality needs time

    Hi Friends,
I have good news for You all:
the C.R.42 final package is almost finished, I'm waiting only for the final History file from FSAviator and the final Sound pack from Stefano Meneghini.
Unfortunately OBIO has many problems in his family and he has no time for this sound pack, DON'T WORRY OBIO !!!
I decided to add also a layered 1024x1024 Photoshop psd file for the repainters.
I hope to upload the package during the next week (3-9/01/2011).

This is most excellent news Manuele. I'm sure the bits and pieces will fall in place. Once the hanger doors are open and it's flown, something is bound to happen. I'll just polish it up here and there till that happens. I'm looking forward to seeing this one.
