    Whitley

    Slow but steady....

That is not distortion you see it is the poor way I make texture maps. never learned lithunwrap. Anyway when John paints it he hides all my mistakes.

Looking good. They were strange birds when one compares with later bombers.

Taking off using the current model is a bit of a mission! No doubt realistic.

One of my favorite early-war bombers.

    Hope to see it soon.

    Maybe also a glider-tug version?

    Flight model

I used the one in game and modified it using actual factory data for the control surfaces etc. At 16500 clocks in at 230 mph. Seems to takeoff under full load fairly well for a twin in CFS3. Need to verify climb rate and once that is zeroed in should be good to go. According to pilots the plane was easy to fly, stable, and stall was predictable. Made this since the one we have, like the Stirling were cfs2 port overs and early models to boot. The pit will be a nice upgrade from what we have.

    cockpit

Just started to texture the pit. Used the glass material suggestions from Ted Miller (RIP) and I think they are way too reflective, need to tone that down some. Not quite finished but I think it is a nice upgrade from the Whitley we have.

    Excellent work!!

I don't know how you two can deliver such quality in such short time! And John, your painting style is so distinctive, I could probably recognize it from space. Fantastic!

Well at least for me if you do this enough it really flows pretty well once you are in a groove.
