    Ankor's shaders

    OS= win10 64Pro

    Installed
    AnKors_Shaders_22_Jul_16
    SeaWaterfx
    d3d8.20161221
    Put d3d8.dll in main CFS3 folder along with d3d8 configuration settings
    Did not install d3d8.20161212

    Test results below. I have yet to find any definitive "how to" on installing these??

    Turn off dual pass render in the config. utility.

    No difference.
    BTW what are good config settings with these shaders?

    his shaders plus the extra he added in off forum ,,,,,works well for me , as well the sea ,,,,,i added in the sea , heavy waves ,,,,,,addon and words excellent the config ,,,,and system one has matters

    I've been looking through http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...ry-Interesting but as it's now up to 20 pages it's a hard read to sort out the wheat from the chaff. It would be nice if there was a new sticky on Ankor's Shaders with a clear "how to" for less computer savvy people like me. For instance, is SweetFX even needed now? What is the current relevance of the Shining Tutorial, etc.?

    Use this shader its the latest d3d8.20161212
    then add seawaterfix
    update the
    d3d8.20161212 ini file
    you might need to use "0" for
    AlphaToCoverage= instead of 1
    change your gpu card settings vertical sync to adaptive
    in your configoverrides file in your user win10 folder change disableshadows to "y" to get rid of double shadow

    try that it works for me

    does anyone know how to get the alphatocoverage to work with out the sea turning to land?

    Edit I didn't install this version d3d8.20161221 because I thought it was a beta version?

    Try in shaders30 folder>SeaWater.fx>#define BaseOpacity 1.00

    Hi Mongoose, keep a close eye on the Dual Pass Render line of the configoverrides file, it has a habit of switching itself on when it needs to be off (like gecko said ). As well as exiting the config.exe correctly, make the configoverrides file Read Only once you are happy with it. Check out the other thread just posted on configoverrides.xml.
