    Manfred C-47 doors

I know that both the passenger and cargo doors open however, is there

a way where the ladder will deploy (swing out) when both doors are open?

I can open the passenger door and the ladder will deploy, when the

bigger cargo door and passenger door are both open, the ladder will fold up.

Shift + 4 to open the monitor panel, where you open the doors click on the steps option.

I am familiar with that option. None of the door numbers seem to lower/raise the ladder with both doors open.

The version I have installed doesn't have the auto option only up/down, when shutting door one the steps fold away automatically. Not sure if the P3d version is different to the Fsx version.

Thanks for showing me. On my menu screen the steps is on AUTO and if a cursor over it does not change to a hand icon like the other options.
I was showing you a shot from P3D V4.5 - In P3D V3.4 the same menu screen shows.

I'd like to find out why that is on auto and how to change it (If possible)

Your test screen shows FS and a VC with numbers, I wonder what that is all about?

In the readme PDF is looks like vc v3.1405 was used and I am in VC 3.1406 - don't know if that has any thing to do with this......
Anyway in the pic there is a UP shown for steps. If I click my cursor over the steps or the auto it doesn't change to a hand to change it.

It's as though the stairs are hardwired to auto.

In MCDX the animation shows both doors opening and the ladder will go down. (I'm in P3D V4.5)

FS is the version of the flightsim you are using, VC is one version above mine.
They might have altered it to be 64bit compliant.

Have you tried clicking on the UP instead of Stairs?

I put my version 3 14.06 in a safe place and installed the V14.05 and now it does offer the steps UP/Down option,

So that leaves me to wonder why the next version 14.06, the stairs options was wired to AUTO and not allowing Up/Down like before.

Not sure of any appreciable differences between the two versions except for the stairs issue.

I did and that is a dead click zone. The picture was from the reeadme.pdf.

I installed the previous version and now have option of up or down.

Curious as to where the door open/close sounds are located. In V3.1405, there were no door sounds.

Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

    C-47 Door Sounds

I've looked in the sound.cfg folder and no mention of door sounds. I know where to find the co-pilot and Nancy sounds and the C-47 engine sounds.

But when V3.146 came out, the doors will make a sound when they open/close.

Before V3.146 the doors would open with no sounds.

Door sounds should be in the panel/DGSounds folder...
