    Starting from ships with CCplanner

Hi. I have been using CCplanner to start my flights from several ships decks, and I have discovered that sometimes it is difficult to add the starting points in the .cfg file of the software. Since it is much easier to do that if you are the designer of the ship, I have decided to post here the cfg file changes needed to start flights from any of my ships. USNS Mercy is not included because I have not been able to make the cfg changes work, I do not know why.

To add the ships to the CCplanner:

1.- Look for the CCP folder in your hard disk. Open it
2.- Look for a cfg file called "PA". Open it with notebook. Perhaps you will have to make backup copy before modifyng it.
3.- Copy and paste the ship or ships you want

Here are the data for 14 of my ships, including the USS NY and all the Sapnish Armada ships

If somebody has done something similar for other ships, it would be great to share data in this thread

It's FSX@War's "Carrier and Convoy Planner" : http://www.fsxwar.com/ - a very capable and useful tool.

According to FSX@War it requires TacPack, but I don't see why it necessarily would... I have TacPack though, so wouldn't know what doesn't work if you don't have it, sorry!

CCplanner creates AI traffic with ships, ground objects and aircrafts at wish. You do not need tack-pack to create traffic, just to destroy it. And you can use also weaponsfsx (captainsim) to do that. CCplanner has several interesting advantages:

    - You can create traffic with ships, as you can with AIcarriers. But you can start your flight from the deck of any ship, if you have the data, and the traffic created is real AI traffic: your radar will detect the ships
    - You can place static objects as AA missiles, or create military columns. Your radar will detect them.
    - You can create AI air traffic in few minutes, for instance, enemies or tankers.
The software includes ground objects (most of them AAA), several aircrafts (Flankers and Typhoons). They are developing new effects (explosions, smoke, destriyed objects) and many things can be aded in a next future. And it is freeware

    Best

    Alberto
