G7 Grumman C1A FSX almost ready

As the title suggests, she is almost ready for prime time. Uncle Milton is my eyes on this one and he has the latest for a complete review and test. Hopefully if all goes well, she should be out within a week, if everything checks out and I get the green light. Stay tuned

Many may fly and some are rewarded
handsomely, but the wings of gold of a
United States Naval Aviator mean more
than flying. It is dearly bought, requires
sacrifice to keep and represents a way of life.

Love that COD. It brings our "virtual" letters from home, and Christmas cookies too.

Here is a comparison of the C-1A in FSX.

One is the FS9 port over; one is the FSX native.

Can you identify the native version?

    I'm thinking the top one.

Will the FSX version use the same paint kit as the FS9 one? I've got a certain C-1A in mind that I rode in years ago.

I did the paint once when FS9 was the new sim.

Must be the 2nd/lower one as it has bump panel lines and the propeller is easily visible, or...?

Very much looking forward to take the C-1 to a carrier :-)

In the comparison, the bottom picture is the native conversion.

It would be nice if euroastar350 could:

    1. remove the shine from the tires
    2. make the prop hubs chrome
    3. do proper glass treatment

    Uncle Milton,

Glass already has reflections applied, it is barely visible withing FSX due to rendering engine. And the spinners also have reflections enabled, does the assigned texture have an alpha applied? I'll double check on my end to see if I get the same results as your copy.

Glass: You might try increasing glass opacity?

Prop Hubs: Definitely requires dark primary and alpha channel.

    Tires: Drop the specular
