Description: This is a repaint only, provided in three versions for use with either the Warbirdsim P-51D "Little Friends", P-51D "Happy Jack's Go Buggy: Then and Now", or P-51D "Mustang Tales" products. This repaint depicts the restored P-51D-20-NA 44-63675 "Sierra Sue II", which is the most authentically restored P-51 flying today. A true combat vet survivor, this aircraft served with the 402nd FS, 370th FG, of the 9th AF, based in Belgium and Germany in April and May 1945. Besides its wartime service, the aircraft has a storied post-WWII history (detailed documentation included). This repaint is accurate down to the multi-colored finishes of the rivets and the individual period-authentic Alclad finishes and Alcoa watermarks on the metal, as well as being filled with numerous other accurate details matching the authentic restoration.
