    another great repaint possibility

I'm loving all these great skins, especially the VX-4 Black Bunny. Was wondering if you've put any thought into doing her sister ship the Bicentennial Eagle?

And where's the Blue Angels skins too?

Way, way too complex for my meagre skills Wombat!!

Nice picture of Vandy 1 though, and with the correct 'Bunny' logo, no stripes and wing stars nicely placed so no frrtin' about for ages matching bits on the fold lines. Could have saved lots of toil had I found this pic first!!

    Ian,

I'm in the same situation as you, but am leaning slightly toward the SimWorks F-4B with TacPack Open Beta due to all the extras that are planned to eventually be added.

The external model is exceptional and the tacpack weapons work great. The sound file is a few mb larger than the milviz one. Thats all I can say and i think it will raise the bar.

Okay, nice paint. Is it for the Milviz F-4J and where can one download it? From the screenshot I'd say that it's not for the Milviz because of the small additional pod under the nose.

It's not. It's for the upcoming Simworks Studios F-4B.

    Hey Steph,

Tom Stovall just published his updated VF-31 repaint for the F-4J a few days ago.

Check it out here, 3rd from top:

    Smoke Abatement

I think the Milviz forum is down, at least it was when I last checked so, I'll ask here.

I am interested in finding out if there is a smoke abatement switch on one of the consoles that when actuated, would tone down the exhaust smoke trail.
Also there are little white vapor trails coming from the wing tips, how can I make them vanish?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

If you fly the S, there should be no smoke. The J, like the E, always had smoke unless it was in burner. To that end, put one engine in burner and the other at idle or just above. This is what most pilots did.

For the vortices, that's in the aircraft.cfg and I'm sure someone else can help.

    Thank you.

    Kat.

    Vapor trail from wings

Is there a way to eliminate the vapor trails emanating from the wingtips?

  25. #225
    Hi,

Those are vortices. You can get rid of them by editing your aircraft.cfg. Someone else will have to help you with that.

    Thank you.

    Kat.
