The B52 ( & some other CS aircraft) write some additional data to the default situation save file when you exit P3d. When you next start P3d, it's can't read the data & crashes. I believe the migration tool can fix this automatically, or there is a stand-alone tool you can use. Alternatively, you can manually edit the file, but it will need to be done after every time you use the aircraft.
Thanks for your help guys. It looks like doing it manually will be a bit of a pain!
