Absolutely love the detail in that VC!
That's the most fantastic modelling I've seen - makes mine look like I'm making paper darts

Baldy,
Wolfi's attention to detail is out-wordly. No need to beat yourself up.
Wolfi,
I installed my beta-test model today...and sent you a few initial impressions. Thanks for including me!

So far so good. I still have to try taking off with the 2000 pound bomb load (no WEP) from a carrier. I'm using the VN USS Wasp CV7 as a test runway. She just makes it with a torpedo and no flaps. On torpedo runs and in flight the bird handle's fine. Now if I can sharpen my aim for the torp runs...
"De Oppresso Liber"
Using 50% flaps, there is no problem taking off from the USS Wasp CV-7 with the 2000 pound bomb load (bombs. heavy). She takes a while to get up to the speed (even with the flaps raised) in order to enable warp. My only complaint is that the engine, after starting takes a loooong time to rev to full power before starting to take off. I recommend that players set the park brake and slowly open the throttle to full power, listen and wait until the engine picks it up. In all, it's a good plane!
Will the final dp get more weapons load out (payload) options?

Here's a few pics of the paintwork in progress. Wolfi is making some additions and a few tweaks to the plane that the painting has shown up and I have some detail work to do on the skins. Over all this is a fantastic model. I hope the skins when finished will do it justice.
Cheers,
Captain Kurt

Looking very nice, Cap't. I'm sure you will do the aircraft justice. So far, so good.

Much too nice for CFS2. More of a FS aircraft to me!

An awesome level of detail Wolfi.
Great looking base paint CK I can see you having plenty of fun with that...
I guess the model must have plenty of LODs, otherwise a large formation of them might bring CFS2 to it's knees?
Oh wowww!!!! Incredible work!
Real nice job, as usual
Do you intend to also produce a TBM version, with modified engine cover? The only one available is the Daviator model, and it needs a serious overhaul to compare with your production.
Please also don't forget, as payloads in the DP file all the usual extra stuff, like ventral radome, wing radar pod and ASR antennas...
Not talking of the transport version, with rear turret removed and covered.
I know it's a bit rude to ask for more, as you are already doing a real tough work, but I could'n resist the temptation...
François
Actual the aircraft included 4 LOD models (see pictures) a Virtual Cockpit and a shadow model. Maybe I will make a TBM version, but not in the near future (after nearly working for two years on this project, with a lot of fall backs, I’m a bit exhausted to see this model in the works, but no worry’s this model will be ready this year)
As captain Kurt says there are a few things to rework, also the blurred prop disk has to be added (I miss Kelty for that, he made the blurred prop texture for almost all of my Aircrafts)
The lower rear gunner compartment, the damaged wing and rear fuselage endcaps and the bullet hole effect have to be completed.
For the payloads, I think most of them are always done and have to be added via DP file, by the way is anyone interested to make a DP file for this model?
So after finishing the few fixes C.K. mentioned, I will send out a first real Beta version (in about a week), for everyone who is interested please send me your mail by private message.

p.s No critism, but a little more shine/sheen might do?
Shessi,
I agree, and I'm sure she'll look good in BPF colours as well!

A new update,
the project comes close to the End, a blurred prop disc has been added, a few details have been reworked (Cowling and Window frames) the rear Gunner compartment got windows as cutouts not painted on. Oil cooler flaps open after engine start.
There are a few things still to do: Rear Gunner compartment Windows glass, a few gaps in the mesh has to be closed, damage endcaps and bullet holes and a few small details.
