    expansion pack Banshee

Can anyone here inform me about the expansion pack for the Razbam Banshee. Does it improve the VC?

    Hi Cees,
I have the Banshee expansion pack and the VC's are essentially the same level of detail as the original package. The F2H-2P has a round camera viewfinder window in place of the gunsight and the F2H-2N has a radar scope with black rubber sunshade on the panel below and to the right of the gunsight with gauges relocated as required. If you like the old "Banjo" the photo bird is very nice, Razbam did a good job modeling the camera bays in the nose. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks TB, that's clear. I'll stick to the standard package I have since it came out!

Cees, not sure about you but I find the Banshee flight model and handling more difficult than other carrier jets (eg the Vertigo Panther). Not sure why. Not much fun so it stays in the hangar. Anyone with a modded FDE out there?
Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

Indeed a tough cookie to put her down! But really satisfying when you manage to do so. I only increased the landing tolerance a bit, so she won't crash immediately on landing, as she did.

Curious to know what you changed exactly?

    Hiya Lee,
Lately I have been updating various FDE's, so if I get an opportunity, I'll have a look at the Banshee's flight dynamics. I'll let you know how it turns out.

    Hey Mitch!
Just back from splashing around in L I Sound. If you can do some the same magic you did on the Scooter FDE that would be cool!

May I ask which FDE's you are working on, and are the finished one's available to download ?

Yowser! Yup, that does the trick. Great work there Mal on the flight model. Trapped (crash detection on) first and second passes on the straight deck Valley Forge. Thanks mate!!

Are both the ship and HD textures in the SOH Library? Just had a search but didn't find them.

Just to say that Mal's FDE handiwork has completely revived and rejuvenated the Banshee. Was banished for years to the back 40 as too hard to fly and now flies like a dream!

. . funny but there aren't really any repaints for the Korea combat era F2H-2's (in my view the best looking version) . .

    expat,
I'd like to try out Mal's FDE revisions to the Banjo. Did he post them somewhere, or can you send them to me?

I would second the request to have these revisions made available. I thought some tweaks for the Banshee had been released but I have not been aqble to find them now.

remember, the files are only for the dash 2 model so far. I have not had a chance to work on the 3 or 4 yet. I've been trying to update the TSR.2 FDE but so far I am not happy with the results. Something weird about the weight and balance of the original model.

    here are the F2H-2 files
