Alert: Sound Config. Files Gone (!?)

Well here's an interesting one...every "sound.cfg" in my three CFS3 installs is gone ...this includes all of the individual aircraft sound folders too...wav files are in the "DR_Engine_Sounds" but no sound.cfgs...I am just about fed up, because this means I have to search my back ups to restore all of these, and I'm not sure it's worth the time anymore.

Short of system restore, or copy / paste each .cfg file...is there a simple solution?!!? I did run a disc cleanup recently but all the files were still there afterwards (at least in one install)...

Nope...simply gone - I had hoped my antivirus might havequarantined them - no luck...

Just to check - are the aircraft sounds still working when you do a qc for each aircraft? A left-field possibility is that somehow the settings have changed, the .cfg files are recognised as sytem files and do not display and are hidden.

Hope its nothing more serious!
