    Eastern Front 1943

    Hi all,

I try to build an Eastern front 1943, but I have a problem with map

because I want a map like this, (with same colours of course).

So I have an other problem with "mapdata" for the geographical coordinates.
For example, I can't locate Ivanovo airfield (the game crashes).
I think my map is too big, no ?

The only thing I know is that CFS3 map is limited in size and if I remember well, MAW one is the biggest size possible.

    Hi all,
I have a problem with this game.
It's my new map for Eastern Front but I can't fly until Moscow .
The front is on line Berlin-Italy

You can see the Yougoslavia airbase is out.
I have changed geographical coordinates in mapdata file.
brundu suggest me to change the terrains file =terrdata-cfs3europ.xml but
    no result.
If you have an idea help me.
    Thanks all.

I seem to remember in the early days of the various teams trying to create new Korea and Pacific theaters people had to fake the latitude and longitude locations to fit into the original Western Europe coordinates.

    Owen,

I have a suggestion for you, if you are willing to go out on a limb. One of the projects I never got around to doing is the Corpo Aereo Spedizione. This was the Italian Regia Aeronautica detachment to Russia, who fought alongside Germany from 1941-1943.

I have numerous sources for it, among them a complete history of the Regia Aeronautica (in English) from 1940-1943, including squadron and base information. Unfortunately, my Lazy Susan of a mind often gets sidetracked by shiny objects and I never got around to it.

    Owen,

You could also do the Normandie-Niemen.

Ok ! OK ! Thank you but, "calmos" mister HouseHobbit, it's not finish because the game goes from Ivanovo (east of Moscow, the firt airbase of Normandie-Niemen) to Diopenen, after (Powanden) and in the south (Bucharest) we are "out of the flying theater".

    My game is about "Normandie-Niemen".
But I did not say my last word.

In My Missions package "MAW Urals EF# 2 Mission Package HH 200-300 finals" Here on SOH CFS3 Missions.

You will find a basic IL-2 done by "Stumpjumper" "Major Magee", also worked on this Beta model.
It is a AI aircraft I used for missions in this package.
A very basic, model, makes a nice target.
I am very interested in this new area of Russia you are developing.

I am presently doing Part Three of my Eastern Front package(III) in MAW.
If possible I would like, when available to change all of this to the new Russia area being developed.

This new Part three Eastern Front package has drive-able armor used and Aircraft in the package, The battle of Kurst, is represented ( built)
    for this package.
Among aircraft Missions for the Soviet and German are several that took place during this battle.

Very good, but I have a problem with some airbases like :
Kaunas, Powenden, Sterki, Khersones (Crimée) who are out of the map.
The game train a sort of square :
west : Dopienen, Minsk, Wilno, Smolensk,
    south : Chernigov,
    north : Krasnogvardeisk, Siverskaya,
    est : Ivanovo, Polotnyaniy-zavod.
    It's allways the mapdata file
    But I persevere...

Hobbit also provided a Po633 skinned as a Pe2, in his mission set, IIRC, together with the beta Il-2.

We are seriously lacking Soviet aircraft. Maybe some day it might equal Il-2 but that could be a long time coming. Looks promising though.
