    Hey guys,

Here is some of Stefano's eye candy from Britain. I fixed the problem northwest of Warmwell by having the northeastern bridge lead into a road, and having the eastern bridge as a separate entity.

He even includes railroad crossings and security gates!

    Stefano,

Here is my collection of all of your scenery mods that I incorporated into my GSL file. It's basically a collection of your greatest hits, including the mods you see in this thread. The next stop, beginning tomorrow, is to fix up London itself. All of the other work is done.

    Greg,

Not yet, but that conversation is coming quickly. Most of what you are seeing is my effort to "clear the deck" to get back to that project. I don't want anything else in the way.

    Good evening,

I am working my way through the London gob files...most of the West End and North End is now done...and I am working my way toward the Estuary, slowly but surely. All of the misplaced bridges to this point have been fixed.

Doing the dockyards right this time is going to be a real b*tch.

    For Shessi...

    Mark,

As a way of saying thank you for all of the neat new aircraft you have done for CFS2 recently, I completed my work on the Tilbury docks this morning, combining it with the gob for Hornchurch. The gobs over London are quite tight, so it took some work to get them all in one gob file. I am now working my way up toward the main docks near the Isle of Dogs, but wanted to show you this progress.

I will upload some more screenshots this evening.

If my memory isn't playing tricks on me, didn't you say that you worked there for a time when you were younger?

Well that's very kind Andrew.., a great memory, thank you.

I'm sure there are many others who will enjoy B of B dogfights over the docks and the Thames, from either side, and flying from Hornchurch, look forward to the scenery.

A favour in return, for the cfs2 loyal....and especially for our US contingency...(a bit too much back-slapping going on here!.. ha!).

Something never seen on the Thames....a PBY-2 (just sorting out the panel at the moment).

    Cheers

    Good evening,

Mark, as promised, here is some eye candy.

There might need to be a flatten for it, but that's no big deal.

    Good morning,

I'm getting closer to the completion of the second-to-last gob; the Royal Albert Dock. I am now working on the Queen Victoria Dock.

    Good evening,

Here are the other shots, including a couple of small anchorages along the Thames. Unfortunately, there is a minor flaw in the landclass and street layout which puts an unseemly road in the harbor area, bit I tried to cover it as best I could.

    Rami,

I am grateful beyond words for this accurate and historic work you are doing, London was the prime port of the entire British empire and the docks were the heart of the port and the entire economic infrastructure that fed the products of the UK to the Empire and from the colonies and commonwealth countries back to the Heartland. It was in essence the Heart of London. Rarely visited by those who were not seamen or dock workers but still essential. I am so glad to see it all happening so nicely and so well done.

    Good afternoon,

I just wanted to pass along that Greater London is now completed. The city (at least where I chose to work) had a total of fifteen gobs, and the total tally, including the airfields of Gravesend, Hornchurch, Croydon, Kenley, and Biggin Hill is 8,934 objects. However, it is really only dense briefly around the docks, so major frame rate issues should not be a problem.

    Gius,

Your timing could not be better. I am not going to make Paris into GSL, primarily because the city was never attacked. Though I am a sadist, I do not wish to drop bombs on the Arc de Triomphe or the Eiffel Tower. However, another city which will eventually need to be redone is Berlin. I do not know if the CFS1 objects for Berlin were ever fully converted to CFS2, this may have just been London.

I would love to have Berlin-specific buildings to do a fully GSL Berlin, just like I have done for London. I will be happy to use your churches and cathedrals as well as the Europe buildings for a little variety.

    Hi Rami,

Churches and cathedrals are not complete, but i have done a specific set of Berlin monuments even more accurate than the cfs1 objects, although in the specific form of api macros, this because of the fact that i've intention to do several specific monuments for various ETO cities and i do not want to incur int the Dp limit...
Tomorrow i will be more precise.

    Best wishes,

    Gius

    Good day to everybody,

I'm now improving my Euro Buildings and in the making process of the churches and cathedrals too... They all need damaged models and LODs, so you can easily use them to make your cities both in GSL scenery and missions.

Particularly, the multi buildings objects are designed to cover cities with a low impact on FR and a lot of detail, but they need the flattening before...

They have been produced spcifically for Berlin, but they are good also for any northern central european city.

I've intention to produce another set of buildings for medium and also small cities, both for MTO and ETO...
    Cheers,

    Gius

    Andrew,

Fantastic, loving it! Tilbury made me smile and is pretty darned accurate, well done.

Maybe a little heavy on the FR's in London, and I'm going to have to get some of the items that are called for, but fun or what!

Can you or someone advise how to get rid of the 'other' naff Thames, what is it part of, if someone knows? Thanks.

    Cheers

    Shessi

    Mark,

If you ran the auto-install version of the BoB airfields at some point, I'd be willing to bet you have some extra scenery.bgl files that got installed into your SCENERY folder in your CFS2 installation, not into the SCENEDB folder. Compare it with a stock install and see if there is anything extra there.

I'm almost positive this is the culprit.

    Ghost bridge

    Rami,

can you give me the exact latitude and longitude of the gob-offending bridge you asked about? I am unable to find it.

Which is the nearest RAF airbase?

    Cheers!

    Stefano,

If you are referring to the bridge which is split, it's just north of Methwold at...

    N52 34 20
    E00 31 46

I just noticed on one of the bridges, there is a missing ramp. Watch out for that first step, it's a lulu!

P.S. - I am using the original Methwold layout, not your updated version. I forgot to make the bridge with the right layout. I will correct that today.

Now a missing ramp......it's getting kinda interesting. Where is this other bugger?

P.S. You are doing more than just the BoB airbases, isn't Methwold a scenery Achim did? If you are including some of 2TAF sceneries, have I ever sent you 2TAF Brooklands with the Vickers factory I built based on a 1930's picture?
