    FedEx F27

I saw the FedEx repaint for the F27 over at Flightsim.com (under the file name: fedexfokkerf27.zip) but noticed it's passenger windows were not plugged as the real ones are. I figured out how to plug them with my paint programs and it seems to be good to go now. Am going to contact the author to see if he wants to make the adjustments or if not, maybe he will allow my update to be posted.

I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen a few more repaints for this bird yet. I brought the paint kit on my business trip, but haven't spent any time on the trip with it. I poked around with it a few nights before I left home, and got irritated. It will work-- just not easily....

Howdy Manfred...sitting at home munching on stroopwaffles and flying the Fokker?

Heh heh...hope you're doing well, bud...

    P.S. LOVE stroopwaffles...they're addictive!

    Yes they are,

Put them in the microwave for 10 seconds yummie,

Been working through the manual. It has a few glitches in it, and the doors do not show open, even though fsx states that they are.

Other than that I am lovin' this dutch treat almost as much as the stroopwafels

Ooh yeah....and some nice strong coffee! Mmmmmm...Life is good...oops...off topic

Yeah, and I also am extremely happy with this bird...If I can find the patience and time, I would like to do some US schemes (Bonanza and Air West come to mind instantly-- both from my childhood).

Kent, I have 2 Aussie Fokkers in the paintshop at the moment. With any luck one (VH-EWV) will be released on Monday night or Tuesday. Its place will be taken by an Air Niugini (P2-ANF) Fokker. Following that I have several others in mind, mainly VH-*** regos. My problem is that I can only spend an hour at the computer before the arthritis pain forces me to re-locate to my softer recliner.

    Cheers

After arriving home just now (& concluding a HD Defrag which I initiated hours ago), I took a look at the readme file and the author of this repaint didn't leave a way to reach him. So far as I can tell, I don't see any other file postings/point of contact for him around different FS sites. Darryl Bell, if you frequent this site or anyone here knows how to reach him, please PM me so I can communicate regarding my minor window plug fix for this repaint. I'm not going to post it anywhere without his permission or sharing with him my method in case he would rather update the files.

These paints are all looking fantastic. This is why I love it when developers release models such as the Fokker - which were flown by so many operators worldwide, and present so many excellent livery opportunities.

The 'plugged up' windows on the FedEx paint are a necessary revision. Hopefully the original author consents to the upgrades and allows them to be uploaded.

Here's hoping someone eventually does an Allegheny repaint, in either the "old" or "new" colors, too!

Have you considered doing a TAA repaint?
I used to travel weekly in a TAA F27 when going to Uni between Brisbane and Maryborough.

TAA and ANSETT-ANA are on my list. The schemes I am using are post delivery and post 1966.

As for painters wanting a freight version with the windows plugged I discovered if you don't do an alpha for the windows then you get plugged windows.
