Description: CFS1 Porokhovschikov-2 Bi-Cocque, 1914
-----------------------------------------------

Two-seater, dual-control twin-tail reconnaissance sesquiplane - the first twin-boom aircraft in history - built by Alexander A. Porokhovschikov in 1914. It was the basis for all subsequent twin-tail designs. Its simple, folding construction featured innovative fabric-covered tail booms, offering less air resistance than the lattice-structured tails of the time. It could be disassembled into a 12x6x6 ft box in 5 minutes by 2 people. Loading capacity was almost equal to its empty weight, and performance was quite impressive: The 50 hp Gnome Omega rotary pusher gave a top speed of 99 km/h (54 knots), and >600 fpm rate of climb. Lack of agreement with the military for series construction, caused the inventor to built the aircraft at his own appartment on the 6th floor. Airport 2.16 Scenery for the Comendant´s Airfield near St. Petersburg included, where A.A.Porokhovschikov flew his "Dvukhvostka" (twin-tail). Airport and VOD Textures required. Virtual Cockpit view corrected using SCASM. Improved model upgraded with machinegun and new CFS1 .air file. Custom wooden panel for default gauges, source AFX/PXC/SCX and DP files included. Cyrillic Script on Gondola textures by Udo Entenmann. By Stephan Scholz.
