    One of my favorite photographs is one he took as a young man I believe, it was titled something like "Dad went ahead" or something similar.

    It was of his parents going down a walkway, his mom had stopped to look through the brickwork and his dad had continued on.
    His dad had just stepped into the sunlight so the background was totally blown out and it looked as if he were stepping into a white void.
    Later his father passed away before his mother and it expressed the sentiment with great power.

    On another level it contrasted the fathers stiff walk, almost a march to his mothers curiosity as if she were the one to stop and smell the roses in the relationship.

    I'll be danged if I can find it on the internet though
