Thanks Steve. I am trying to put all the finishing touches on the model and package; almost done.
Don't think any of it will affect your work however.
Been tweaking the model, panel gauges, and flight model. Some minor changes to gauges and positions.
Hope to have this out by the weekend.
Really looking forward to the Complete Package, Milton!
Alan
Alan, thank you. The package will still be a WIP without skins or textured panel, or proper sounds for now, but all the rest of the package will be beta-ready.
That's about all I can do at this point. I'll leave it to others to finish off exterior and interior textures.
And maybe someone can identify some good P&W R-1340 sounds for use with the package.
I have uploaded the WIP full package v1.1 to the FS9/Aircraft library for all those wishing to sling paint. :-)
As far as I know now, all the modeling is completed unless someone finds issues.
No livery, just texture templates.
Sounds are simply temporary as I have no R-1340 sounds.
The Mallard Cockpit over the years has seen many modifications and variations. I have based my cockpit on the attached photos.
Later today I will post some helpful screen shots labeling the switches and dials.
The attachment explains all the switches and dials for the overhead panel
SteveB, et al, attached is an updated model, ecubox.bmp texture, and a 2048 ecubox template for the requested changes of glareshield and Mallard logo on steering yoke.
I will add the window crank later today.
EDIT: Window crank added to attached zip and corrected the specular shine on the model

Hi Milton,
I'm a bit slow with this, but today I realised that for the Commonwealth Wirraway and the de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter (both Wasp R-1340 with three blade prop) I have installed a long time ago the great Wasp sounds by Jay "Farmboy" McDaniel. The original soundpack like I have on my HD has sound.cfg's for single engined aircraft and twin engined aircraft and doesn't have that typical "supersonic" sound produced by the two blade prop of the AT-6 Texan/Harvard.
At the moment this soundpack (without the twin engine sound.cfg; I still have that sound.cfg in the soundpack) has been included in the FSX Grumman AgCat Crop Duster released by Michael E. Roberts (grumman_g-164_ag_cat.zip) available at FlightSim and Simviation.com.
Cheers,
Maarten
Milton I have been working on the overhead panel getting it stencilled up and attach the textures for you too have a look at. I have redone the placards .bmp and badged up the steering wheel. On the stencilling I can get it too look ok at a distance but blurred on closer look. Is it poss to make the red and black underside panels a slightly higher res or some such magic.

I'll take a look at it Steve. Thanks
EDIT: Ah, yes. My apologies. I will improve on that and have the changes to you by morning, your time.
Updates to the Mallard Overhead panel mapping for higher resolution. See the readme.txt included.

Steve, that is a beautiful livery
I found that scheme on a thread posted by Terry :http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...nd-model-ideas
Here is a quick picture of a very early WIP of the overhead, bin playing with the on off's.

I will be making the layered masters for the overhead panel available with a choice of white or black stencilling so people can repaint the base colour.

Great Steve; very thoughtful of you. Thanks a bunch :-)
Milton, how big a job is it too move a guage up and too the right a bit this would help me greatly in labelling some switches. Please see piccie attached.

This is too anyone with eye sight better than mine. Can you please take a look at the picture attatched and help me identify the wording used (or best polite guess).

#1: The left side of the gauge reads "fuel" and the expression in question is either "CAP" or "GAL" or so
#2: "??? Fire Extinguisher" (the switch next to it is pitot heat, so maybe cabin heater fire extinguisher)
#3: "Alternator Fire Extinguisher"
#4: This could be anything. Opportunity for a few sarcastic instructions and warnings?
#5: "Cabin Heater Fire Extinguisher"
#6: BRIGHT(??)
#7: "Cockpit Lts Rheostat(?)"
