Beautiful shots Ferry, it does look rather good.
Have they fixed the AI yet?
Yes they have Eddie, I'm now the biggest idiot on track... ;-)

Maybe I should get this and we can do MP so there will be 2 idiots on track!
I'll get it too, then there will be 3 idiots on the track, lol
Tried a short race at Imola yesterday with the Formula C cars (Basically Formula 3 performance wise), which would have been impossible a few months ago. Usually after five laps all cars would have crashed into each other, or worse, into me. Now they behaved like the real thing. There was a small pile-up behind me just after the start, and one hit me in the first chicane but the rest of the race went smooth. Started sixth, lost a few places in the first chicane but fought my way back to fourth.

Pushing back the release date again, hope it doesn't turn out like RF2!!!

Ordered mine via Steam today.
It was £39.99, it does come with the extra Zonda, Atom and the RUF in the modified car pack.
Believe for the US it is $49.99.
Also the digital edition has the GT40, M1, Mclaren F1, Sauber C9 and the Merc AMG DTM
Any more classic 1960's F1 cars besides the Lotus 49 ??......
Great shots, Ferry ! Can't get over how amazing these digital models look ! Love that Sauber Mercedes, got the Exoto 1:18 diecast, was very hard to come by. I'd love to relive the GPL era in Pcars but i guess fat chance, éh ??....
cheers,
jan

Thanks, Ferry ! I believe there's like no Ferrari what so ever in Pcars, is it ??...
Do you maybe happen to know anything why that is ?
I haven't come round installing Pcars on my new rig yet. What do you think, go to the site and download/install or wait for the final to be released ?
As 'crowdfunders' do we actually get the final for free ?
Thanks!
License issues. No Porsche either (Though they somewhat solved that by using RUF.)
You should be able to install it through Steam, there are still (Almost) daily updates so make sure you delete your profile from 'my documents' after each update.
In Steam you can also see which version you will get (You have paid for it in the past!), as a full member I get the basic game plus two bonus packs.
Most updates are fine tuning now, the game is very playable as it is now.

Thanks, Ferry, got it !
Oh, my gawd!! They ruined my beloved Lotus 49 by adding a modern driver/helmet !!
Atleast that's what i thought with a first trial.... Luckily i noticed later that they've kept original driver too. ;-)
Do think its a real bummer that there are no other vintage F1 cars. Would've loved atleast the Ferrari 312 with its great whine and spaghetti exhausts. I guess though i should be lucky that we have the Lotus. They could've easily chosen to go without vintage F1 all together..
Only begun to explore everything. Not even setup my G25. See lots of cars i haven't seen before. Wasn't it like we could select the view in the garage ourselves before ?.... Automatic now... not overly enthusiastic about that. Is it gonna stay that way you think ?
Would also love external view during replay to stay where i like it instead of returning to default view of the back. Any news about that perhaps ?....
Do you think by downloading/installing via Steam today ( gotta love Steam ! Was done in a jiffy! ) i've got the latest version ?
Cheers,
jan

Yes, really love that ! I just thought that with earlier Pcars versions we could view a car model in the garage from any point we'd like by shoving the mouse around.... Maybe i'm mistaken..... I have to reinstall AC too one of these days.
As a vivid user of both Pcars and AC which do you actually prefer, Ferry ?
Fantastic, isn't it ! Well, it all looks and sounds really breathtaking. Just would've loved a bit more older cars ( also 'older' looking, IMHO i think sometimes they go too far with reflection mapping, makes some cars look a bit plasticky )Yes, the games updates itself regularly, no need to manually update/patch it.
I haven't been able to induce some rain, isn't that implemented yet ?
I shot this at the F1 track in Austin....

Pcars, no doubt. Looks and sounds better, the physics are quite convincing and I really don't get along with AC's shifting system so I'm stuck to cars with paddle shifters. AC does offer some good user made mods though.
Use the 'conditions' tab when setting up a session. You can select up to three different weather types and set the rate how quick they change. Or you could simply use the real weather option. (Haven't tried that one yet)
