    Italian Landclass

I am really enjoying flying my SSW F-104's from the AMI bases available from SSW and elsewhere. The problem is that the surrounding default FSX landclass is terrible (in all season's). Imagine California in the summer when the grass is all burned-out yellow. Having lived in Italy for several years, I know it isn't really that way. Can one of my Italian friends (or anyone else that flies there in FSX) please recommend a landclass that will solve this problem? Merry Christmas to you all!

    Hi Dave,
Thanks for the recommendation. I downloaded "LC_2013.zip" from Real Earth X (their freeware scenery section). I could not download "Italy landclass" (Real Earth X) from FSX Sceneries (your "got it here" site), because I get a "404" error. Do you know if this happens to be the same thing?

    How to use LC_2013?

    Hi Cortomalteseit,

Thanks for the advise. I have the Italy landclass. Do you know how to install it? I don't see any read-me etc.

I loved Italy. I did not return home (to the US) for 3+ years. I have returned several times since for vacation or business. Wonderful people!

    Cheers,

    Bill

    Hi Wings of Gold,
AFAIK landclass scenery should be placed between the airports and the meshes.
Don't know exactly how those landclass are, I use FTX Global+vector+OpenLC.
Have good flights and Merry Xmas!

FTX LC Europe? https://www.fullterrain.com/product/ftxgolceu Maybe not free addon but according me the best LC for Europe.
I will do later some of screenies for You. I spent many time with SSW F-84 over Italy. Now the price is near 22$, Xmas sale.

Agree with Yo-Yo. Open LC Europe has done wonders for me for Greece so I'm certain it would be great for Italy too. It also includes photoreal Mt. Vesuvius. I love the way they define towns and villages with distinct edges. No more stupid FSX blue roofs. You must however also have FTX Global textures installed and preferably also Global vector. As a combination it is not cheap but totally worth it.
